Most of my life I had cats, but right now I have an aquatic turtle, some fish and a...rat. Some people get freaked out over rats, but really, it's just a giant mouse. LOL
Had a cat that looked just like this one. His name was Taishowdan, Tai for short. He lived to the ripe old age of 19. For a cat, that's OLD! He was the sweetest, most gentle loving soul and I miss him soooooooo much as I do all my beloved animals that have passed away through the years.
Had a cat that looked just like this one and she has a very special story. You see Straya was found wondering around our place of employment, eating whatever scraps of food people would leave her and sleeping in the dumpster. We soon learned that she was deaf. My husband and I already had two cats at the time and decided to catch her, bring her to a vet and then try to find a home for her. Poor thing had fleas and a bad ear infection. She was high maintenance with her long fur and leaky eyes like a poodle. LOL
OMG, at first she was like a wild cat hissing and growling. She was afraid of everyone and everything. At first I closed her off in the bathroom with a litter box, food and water and figured I'd introduce her to the other cats once she settled down some. Every day I would go into the room and switch the light on and off to let her know I was there and so I wouldn't frighten her. I would actually lie on the floor near her without touching her so she wouldn't freak out. One day she started purring so I tried to pet her and she let me. It was a long hard road for us, but eventually she was as sweet and gentle and loving as my other cats. She never did like the other two cats, but tolerated them. She was probably happy when they died. LOL Yeah, I never did find a home for her and I'm glad I didn't. We had some happy years together before she passed away about a year ago.
I have a 16 year old Parsons Jack Russell. And a bunch of cats named Medusa, Minerva, Batty, Chanukah, Panther, Were Wolfy and I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two. The cats are new additions from my gf, I've always been a dog person but cats are starting to grow on me.
3 brats in this home. Murphy, the black male ferocious Teddy Bear cat, McKenzie, the female British Blue who totally hates Frisky the male Pomeranian...even though Frisky absolutely loves to chew on Murphy's ears when he gets a chance...
Will have to take pictures and get back to this thread.
Now...how hard was that to create a Pet Board...Really...no...I mean, REALLY !!!!
There he is! Meet Smoosh. He was born 4/4/14. and adopted us this past August. After having the house all to ourselves for over a year, my best half and I are really enjoying having a new owner.
My husband is positive Smoosh is some form of alien space pod,but he really is a cat. :)
Thank you, GuoHau!

I had one wonderful sheltie, and several cats. All were taken from the streets or from pounds.
The greatest character was a cat named Thunderpaws. I was driving north into Louisville on a divided roadway and ran into a demonstration. Bonfires, rocks, the whole business. At an intersection there was a little black cat with no idea where to turn. I scooped him up of course and took care of him. As with all cats, cute little kittens turn into monstrous jungle animals.
He had two favorite tricks. He'd reach under the door, hook the spring door stopper with a claw, and I'd hear "Twannngg" all night long. If the door was left open, he'd wake up about dawn. Attracted by fluttering eyelashes, he'd aim carefully and pounce with both paws in the center of the sleeping eyes.
Oh, "Thunderpaws?" He weighed about 200 pounds and loved running up and down the bare wood hallway.
R.I.P MAX,, You Were The Best, That I'm Sure of. It's good to know, in some Cultures, their Beliefs are that our Pet's were just friends from a Past Life or a Sister or Brother or Even a Spouse Bringing Just a Little Bit More Friendship, Companionship and Joy to Our Life.
It's all in What you believe,,,,but Our Pet's Are People Too,,,,
