Your average Joe Blow won't pay that, no Only those who know and respect Art will
Same goes for our line of work
For this Cross/rose, I would hazzard a guess at approx $75 As I said, you can always come down For me, I'm use to having to come up with a price
But it's worth a hell of a lot more than $10 or $20, unless you are just needing quick cash
I was offered $1200 before I even made a flower for it. I was asked to make a tombstone, I make machines out of titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, steel, hardox, inconel for work. I don't always have n opportunity to do art with fab, if u saw what metal costs today, a 4ft x 4ft x 3/16 plate steel costs about $100 by itself. Metal prices are up really high, scrap bulk is down an awful lot to.
The mean, nasty-ass honey badger in a bar near you!
Just was scoping out the internet on 'sculpting' looking for various ways for pricing Many were like you, not sure what to charge Scared to overprice it, yet they did not want to under-price it either
Did see where one lady said she takes out the cost of the material, then adds 30% along with her $60/hour fee Not sure if that would work for you, but it's an idea anyway
Problem I have is I do work for someone else who gets paid for my work n I don't get paid. I just want to go home, if I go home without being paid, I have no home. I got into a bad situation because my broken leg healed n wanted to get back to work with no where to go. I really just frakked myself. Craigslist welding is insulting, I could fabricate mschine and weld a boeing, problem is is that the jobs aren't there unless I can afford to travel all over hell n creation. Right now I'm negative 5 months of not being paid on top of being out ofwork for 9 months plus because I broke my leg.

brotherman, I wasn't suggesting you should look for work on Craigslist.I was thinking you could sell your work you have there on Craigslist. You need the money and you have a computer and Well, my husband knows very well off people in Phoenix and Flagstaff that only shop on Craigslist because they can get a better deal and that's how they keep their money, they're really cheap!

That's where you at least need to get half down --a nonrefundable deposit-- before you do any kind of request for someone That is the only way to guarantee that you will get something even if they back out
In our line of work, we do not do anything until it's paid for, everything is upfront But it's chump change to your kind of thing
Say a $16 t-shirt or $24 car tag, we get the money first before Jim picks up an airbrush
For you tho, you need to at least get some kind of non-refundable deposit first, and let them know that they do not get that back even if they change their mind about it (hence the name 'non-refundable' ...lol)

Okay, scratch that then......
It's a gamble however you look at it Such a shame that people just cannot be trusted to keep their word when it comes to money (paying up) now a days
