I'm just formulating and fabbing things in my head. Trying to figure out what's next.
The day ya stop doing that is the day you die. I call it war gaming. Others call it day dreaming. But I see that there is a difference between the two. War-gaming has a realistic approach, whereas day-dreaming is just that, a dream.
From what I see, out here in Cleveland there is a lot of call for folks with your talent. Not that I recommend it as this town is very insular as far as I am concerned. But the pay is living wage as long as you don't live to far out of town.
As a GS-7, I still barely made enough to get through the month. But then again, I suffer from financial dyslexia.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
I think I'm destined for greater things, that's why I don't quit. The world is telling me quit working for people and work for the sake of passion to art and care for myself. I've got nothing left to lose at this point except my health and life.

Another thing you could look into is this site: Patreon It is crowd-funding of sorts for artists and it looks like you can show your art work and provide that for funding. I am not super familiar with it, but I do have some artist friends who use it and it is helped them get some seed money and helped them show their art as well as sell some of their art.
My sister-in-law is an artist and her preferred medium is metal welding and she has sold some amazing pieces of sculpture for very large dollar amounts. Based on the pictures you showed us of the art piece that you did, I think you have every bit of talent and could definitely make some nice money doing metal welded sculptures. I loved the rose and would personally have no hesitation in buying a piece like that from you.

I'm thinking of making more welded sculptures I just don't know what to do with them if they cme out decent idk what anything like that is worth.
They are worth a lot......
My husband does airbrush, not the same but it's still in the Art Creative dept, so yea it is He has been known to get $65-$85 for putting images of cars/trucks/fantasy syfy images on t-shirts
Real tattoos (good quality) can run $100 or more
In the past, when they would ask us how much we would charge to put their tat on a shirt, we would give them a price of say $70 The minute they bitched we would say, well how much did that tattoo cost you....they would stammer around and say $150 My husband was like "Well...."
The old cliche of "Time is Money" holds true in this area
Your time and artwork is what costs, not so much the material itself ( of course, one must figure that in, but it's your talent that costs more)
I've seen woodwork, which is a lot easier to work with than messing with steel, but a piece similar to your cross/rose I've seen sell for approx. $100, give or take Blown glass pieces are small and yet run $50 and up....
What you have shown of your work looks to be top quality, even for a beginner
Never hesitate to price it too high You can always come down on price, all the while giving the customer the satisfaction of getting a deal

Every rose I made for that cross I hammered n welded out of 1/8in steel every pedal was hand cut by torch. There is 3 of them they took a bit of time to make, the 2 banners took a lot of time to, those were also torch cut welded together n polished, the cross itself took about 3 hours alone to lay out right n torch cut by hand not to mention polishing off the slag. The etching design n layout well that took awhile to to be sure the design was best before I etched the metal. Sand and paint well you get the idea, I don't think I could sell that for $100
