Brotherman, I think crowd funding would be a wonderful opportunity for me to gift you some funds, knowing that one day you will be called upon to 'pay it forward' in honor of all those that contributed to you in your time of need.
It isn't charity in any way; just an investment in the future for those in need. You should be honored to help us carry out good works!
When it comes to crowd funding, how does that work? I prefer to send a money order rather than doing things on-line. I hate purchasing or donating via the interwebz.
BTW, the same question applies to me buying a mug. (Not that mine isn't handsome as it is. )
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Wish I could make u a mug I mean I probably could but it would be one heavy bastard.

A guy with your talents and drive should go far, though it will take some time and you have to become just a tad more suspicious/cynical. (Just my opinion)
Maybe look into refurbishing Cast Iron stoves. My Bro-in-Law did that and the cheapest one he sold was $4800.00 dollars. The older and more ornamental they are, the bigger the bucks. Of course you will need seed money, so look at this crowd funding thing as a possible step up.

Okay; brainstorming here: The guy in our area sells his sculptures at evry Farmers Market and community event held. Towm parades, County Fairs, etc. He also has work on consignment in all the little tourist shops around town. He has an online site...I'll see if I can find his business card. His bigger items sell for $100.00+, but he has smaller items starting at $12.50, and he usually sells 2/3 of what he brings.
He used to weld for a living, and just did art pieces as a hobby, but there was such demand for his art that he makes tons more money now than he ever did for an hourly wage.
You have the talent, in spades, so the only thing lacking is a business plan! I'm not good at business, but I bet a lot of folk here are!
This may well be a point in your life where one door slams in your face so the door of opportunity can open! I think the possibilities are very exciting, and it would be a great feeling to be a part of it!
Idk if I like it dude, especially because everyone speaks about crowd funding as though I have no choice in the matter. I'm highly capable of all kinds of things, I really wish I could just earn money. I can work on everything from steel to titanium, bulldozers to aircraft. I've welded for the rock and roll industry the pentagon pre fabbed for the empire state building remodel. It seems like everytime no matter who I work for in the end I always get frakked and lose. I'm tired of losing at life all the damn time.
