Just out of curiosity...what is your phobia?

nvm.

See, now, I get a little panicky if I can't see the bottom, or see relatively clearly under water. And to hell with mucky lakes, not a chance in hell will I set foot in them. When I was little, we used to have an RV & drive around between MI & FL checking out campgrounds. My dad was huge on that, and it's probably is why I love being outside as an adult as much as I do. Except he had a penchant for finding lakes to swim in that had man-eating muck for bottoms. I got stuck a few times, and quit swimming in the campground & park lakes after that. I can still remember the feeling of having my feet stuck in the slimy yet sticky mucky mud, being devoured slowly like it was underwater quicksand. It's not a fear per se, but holy crap does even just the memory give me the willies.

Hwy, me too! You'd think growing up in the Seattle area I'd be okay with them, but I'm not.

There's a bridge in Portland, Oregon that i went over a few years back- during rush hour, so it took a LONG time to cross.

Now see, I'm evil. Just pure evil.

I once had a sister in law that was scared of tunnels who came to visit. We had to go through a tunnel to get to where we were going on one little jaunt or another, and I waited until we were almost directly in the middle of the tunnel and said "can you imagine how many tons of water are directly over our heads? I wonder what would happen if that water pressure cracked the walls of the tunnel? is that a water leak over there?"

I don't know how I survived the rest of the trip - I don't know how I survived long enough to get us out of the tunnel.

Just one of the many things I'm probably going to hell for.
