Now we've all heard the media refer to a family gun collection as an "Arsenal" and I've wondered sometimes, just what a real one is supposed to look like, given the weak sauce used to define it often enough.
Well... I found a case where even the NRA can't much dispute the term and wording. This is Los Angeles of all places... Where men are men (sometimes)..and guns are living things people shrink in fear from. So...where did THIS come from?!
When the 2nd Amendment refers to a well organized militia, the Super Court has defined that as all of us, collectively. Still..No one said we each have to supply the whole friggen militia!

So they came across the gun store by accident? Wow... Those cops must have just about crapped kittens to realize what they were first looking at, upon walking in. I wonder how much more there may be to this story? Was he a seller? A criminal? A government person for our side or someone else? That really *IS* an arsenal, with ammo to match by the sound of it. Either someone had an obsessive collection disorder and guns were his mojo with it ...or that was a man with a purpose, which never got finished?

More than 1,200 guns were strewn about the Palisades Drive house and garage, police said. The weapons ranged from high-end pistols to shotguns and rifles. Many had never been fired. Some were still wrapped in their boxes, with the price tags still attached.
It was a "staggering number of guns," said LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith. Police also found roughly two tons of ammunition.

The unusual discovery came as police investigated the death of the man, whose decomposing body was found in a car parked down the street from his home.
Although the LAPD's elite Robbery-Homicide Division detectives were initially called to handle the case, Smith said, they determined there were no signs of foul play and are not investigating the death as a homicide.
