I love my Kindles. I use the Fire mostly. I hope y'all think to get a couple of solar chargers for them. And keep one of the chargers and at least one of your Kindles in an EMP safe housing at all times. Which reminds me, I think both are out at the moment. LOL.

I'd like to see them do the dark background light text thing. Will be suggesting it to them.

I think I have about 400 books in my Kindles at the moment. More likely.

Given all the givens, I don't do pics on the web, of myself. Just not wise. I might do one of my backside rappelling down an almost vertical cliff face a few years ago. If so, I'll put it in my avatar for a bit. But you won't see my face.

Hello friends!  :)

I am a female in my late fifties with varied interests.
I was raised in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee, so I'm a purebred country girl, although I don't like country music.  My preferred genre is 'anything else'.  

I love nature and animals, and learned many spiritual lessons while spending 'alone time' in the woods. 
I am a seeker to answers of all things spiritual and mysterious. 

I'm married and have one grown child, although I have 4 grown step-children. 

I hate to cook, but love to bake, which makes no sense to me at all. 

I've worked in many different areas along my journey; everything from a travel agency back office manager, to making shoes in a factory.  I am now in a field of work that provides a 'service' to others, as I found those 'other jobs' unrewarding.  I've been at my current job for almost 15 years, but lately I'm not liking it there as much due to things beyond my control. 

My most cherished accomplishment is when I wrote a book back in the late 90's and having it sold out after only 2.5 years.  I'm working on putting it on an e-book format now.  I'm late getting around to doing this; I wasn't sure how e-books would sell, but they seem to be the 'big thing' now.  My problem is having time to do this because I'm going through the entire book and editing every page. Things are looking better now, as far as having time. I hope to have it ready by next year.  :)

I see many familiar faces here too.  Nice to have a place we can get together without being scolded every time we turn around.
