Amazing things can be done with old fashioned wood clothes pins (spring type..not 1950's old), 18 gauge wire, 9v batteries, plus something you'd get from any model rocket store, and a little wedge with some fishing line tied to it.
Of course, the far end of that would want to be a harmless noise maker or smoke pot, or it could be classified as something nasty.
And martial arts - let's not forget learning martial arts!
I recommend Ninjitsu. Here's a training video for an American variety of Ninjitsu, to get you started:
This guy has obviously years of experience, I only take issue with one thing.. He is wearing the wrong color cape.
I prefer firearms training and practice with conceal and cover. I can take on multiple targets without getting tired before I have a meal. Hell don't even need a shower if you don't mind the smell of burnt powder at the table.

@marlingrace, If you want to know more about cameras and security along those lines, I would be happy to have my husband type up a message on here that I can send to you. That is his line of work and he can answer any questions that you have.

Well, "martial Arts", like camouflage, take many forms - Miyamoto Musashi told me that, a long long time ago. I'm older than I look, and that's pretty old. The key to what is and isn't a "Martial Art" is the word "Martial"...

Take care, Cindi
Yes ma'am that would be a great addition to the thread. We could have a jumping off point for recommendations to start some research. Thank You

You retain your youth well for 400 years. Do you indeed consider yourself a Ronin? Master of the blade and pointy stick? Somehow I think you have not yet discussed your Yumi talents as well, or the length considering your height versus the typical Samurai. What gate do you prefer on your pony when firing from horseback? I have only seen video of the use of a Yumi from horseback and it goes to their professionalism that they can make it look so easy. Having spent sometime managing, and a little riding the 4 legged critters there is no part of that, that could be easy.

My missus says the same thing. She tactfully ignores all the snap-crackle-popping noises when i get up in the mornings.

Of course. A masterless Master!

A canter. I like jiggly things, and love a challenge.
