So Walmart has problems with their plumbing and decides to close not just one but 5 locations for a total of 6 Months. This would mean that all of those locations have suffered the exact same issues at the exact same time. hmmmm....

Quite the coincidence. This has to be lottery number odds.

Ok, so at first glance...what's the problem? Happens all the time right? Plumbing issues that is. But 6 Months for a store that could be built entirely from the ground up in that time?

Let's look at one comment that sums it up quite nicely...

the arbitrary time of 6 month and the plumbing issue is a complete lie i believe. a plumbing crew could redo a super center plumbing on a 24 hour schedule in about 2 weeks completely replacing every pipe! so the reason Walmart has issued to the public is a front for something other then water issues?

One other point to consider is how 5 stores can close to its employees with only 5 hours notice:

(TAMPA) Plumbing problems at a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Brandon will force the store to immediately close, and remain closed for at least six months, according to company officials. A similar problem will close at least four other Walmart sites around the country.

The store in Tampa that’s closing is at 1208 E. Brandon Blvd., and will close today, April 13.

And the poster goes on to say something that immediately came to mind for me as well:

if i lived in that area i would keep my eyes open to see what kinds of trucks were moving in and out of the compounds? remember Walmart received all its building loans from the government free of charge! who knows if they will play a role in the planned civil war this fall? Jade-Helm is another planned 2 months event designed to get folks accumulated to black helo's

Walmart has indeed received a majority of their loans from Govt. so does this mean they owe the Govt. a favor? Or perhaps that the Govt. owns these locations and the Walmart business was merely a cover until they need the buildings and property back for other reasons?

Yes folks, I know this is wild speculation on my part. What got me is that I'm not the only one to go down this road.

Another comment:

A super center could hold a lot of supplies for the military, house a lot of soldiers or a lot of civilians............

Yes it could. And even more interesting? All the stores are in either Texas or Florida...

Jade Helm anyone? For anyone not aware...

5 stores closing on a moment's notice for 6 Months due to plumbing in the same areas as the largest military training exercises ever to take place on US soil?

I don't like it. But then again, maybe that's just me...

So take it with a grain of salt. I was told my tinfoil hat would be welcome here so I'm trying it on for size...lol

It could be something as simple as not enough business so rather than just admit, close down. But still strange.

I understand Wal Mart may have I understand, in February they gave a increase to nine dollars an hour to over half a million workers.

You'd think that, but look into their truck drivers, they are some of the Best Paid Hauler's in the business, also, the items they're buying from China and India and Pakistan have all increased in cost to them because the workers in those countries, especially China are getting paid more and then the cost of shipping hasn't decreased at all for them.

Wal Mart doesn't own it's own Cargo Aircraft or Container Ships, so they're paying premium shipping prices and then, They try to get people to believe Wal Mart Cares and has a Heart and raises their minimum wage pay to $9. an hour, Yup, I think they took a lose because they didn't make any drastic price increases and they're still doing that Price Match which in Phoenix AZ, is costing them to compete with the Large Hispanic Super Markets which Always prices their vegetables and Chicken meat at VERY LOW Prices.

Given the contentious attitude of WalMart employees regarding minimum wage, and continual attacks by progressives, I am surprised they got 5 hours notice. When being laid off or fired many company's hand you a check escort you out, and it's asta la bye bye. If they had given them a week there would have been protests around the clock going back and forth across the front door. This I don't blame them for.

Now anyone who has done an ounce of construction knows there reason for closing is pure BS. This I have a little experience in, at worst it would have been porta potties, for employees and customers and replacing some pipes that needed digging up. Everyone know you never close the business for something like this it cost to much to close doors. Even when replacing car wash equipment during a remodel they are hand washing cars from buckets off to the side, removing gas tanks from stations doesn't close you down.
I think your assessment is right something smells and its not the plumbing.

But...Personally, I believe it truly does have something to do with the military games and we'll know soon enough.

As it states in the OP, these locations are suited for storage, containment, shipping & receiving etc.

Many are going to be watching the traffic in and out of these places for the duration. Of that we can be sure.

You know here in VA they already have a functioning city just for this with everything from stores to subways. I don't think they could use WalMart for holding "dissidents" even though the building is capable of large numbers of prisoners, the sanitation requirements are not enough. It would be interesting to know the size of the water main coming in and the size of the sewage pipe going out. If they are larger than what would be typically sized for what they have , the red flags should be waving brightly. It would take no time to saw cut and install additional restroom, and showers, but the main line would have to be sized properly from the beginning as to not draw attention. The rest of the installation could be done from inside. Also are they blocking the window so you can't see in?

A copy of approved plans will be at the local county seat. It will have construction drawings for the entire project from its inception plus as builts. Also do we have a exact location of every closed WalMart? We have some seriously qualified ex-military people here that could tell if they would make good command and control centers. And then we would need to know how close they are to major transportation hubs and internet nodes to be completely effective. Just some additional thoughts.

Watchers should be looking for temporary antennas, vehicles, I am sure the power requirements are already there. It would make a good command center I would think. No windows, secure block wall construction, and the ability to drive a forklift in and around for setup. The block walls would be filled and provide reasonable protection from civilian weapons.

Seeing as I work for the corporate monster I can assure you that Walmart would never close for plumbing problems so therefore the whole plumbing issue is a complete farce. The plumbing at our store was messed up and the whole store smelled like a septic system and we stayed open. The employees had to go the the nearest business to ours to use the restroom or hold it until you got off work. This story is just an excuse and a poor one at that!

It really does seem that the buildings are perfect for such use and the plumbing issue? Not buying it.

As I mentioned, It could very well be for nothing but greed but something doesn't feel right. I would like to see if they haul out all the food as that would be very telling. Hardware as well.

That's my problem here....5 stores are being affected

With the lame excuse of 'plumbing' problems...(stifles laugh)
Guess the sh#t was floating uphill or something. lol

Wonder if it could have something to do with inventory (theft) rather than plumbing?
Revamping those particular stores maybe?

Very strange indeed....maybe in time the truth will come out
