"Mr. Colt," The woman had tears in her eyes. "My husband cant afford to lose his job in this economy. We are not bigots. I talked with the wives and they said you pulled strings in revenge. He did not mean the comment he made about little Abigail.. Her present injur.."

Andros slammed the door in the woman's face and walked to the kitchen table, "Are you ready to go look over the elementary school Little one?"

Abigail stood up, "This is so cool.. Power Armor.. I am IRONMAN!!"

Andros shook his head, "Well superhero.. Did you make your bed and put your dirty clothes downstairs.."

Abigail freezes, "Uhm.. I have it scheduled to take place Uncle Andros. " Abigail ran to the stairs and jumped four or five spots, "This is so wicked!!"

Andros watches as Abigail pours the over the rail.. He hits his forehead as he picks up the peanut butter covered pizza crust and empty Orange Juice glass. "Breakfast of champions.."

Gwen walks over and sniffs the dirty plate, "Meow."

"I know but getting her to eat.. Mistress Ingolfsson, she is as picky as you are.. Old lady.." Andros shakes his head as the female cat walks over to the food dish and give a disapproving look back.. "You will get wet food when me and Abigail get home later on.."

Andros hears the com system go off as the woman outside is pressing it..

"You say you were wrong," Andros starts singing in Travis Tritts voice as he cleans the dishes..

Abigail jumps from the top and lands perfectly. After a second she falls to the gorund, "Ouch." Abigail winces as she stands back up, "That hurt.."

Andros rolls his eyes as she starts picking up her clothes.. "Put them in front of the washing Machine.. You will learn to do them later."

"Yes sir," Abigail picked up the basket and took it to the back door.. "Uncle Andros.. Are you going to answer that lady?"

"Actually that is up to you. " Andros grinned, "Her husband was the one who made you cry yesterday. Seems her husband got fired this morning."

Abigail went wide eyed, "You got him fired over me sir."

"No mam.. He got himself fired.. I just shared information," Andros brought up a holo-control button and opened the door.

The woman freezes when she sees Abigail walk over to her, "Abigaill. I am sorry for the comments my husband made.."

"GET OFF MY PROPERTY," Abigail yells as she slams the door in the womans face. She snickers but turns and sees the look on Andros's face, "Sir.. I.."

"The question is why did you behave that way," Andros holds up his hand as he finishes the last dish. "You need to consider that.. The why at this age. We will work on logic later.."

"They were mean to me and dont desrve to be treated well," Abigail was upset and confused.. "You slammed the door in her face to.."

"I have my reason, because I am an old B.." Andros shakes his head, "I am an old bastard set in my ways.. You have to develop your own ways.. And pay the price for the education.. Your action will have some form of effects."

"Pay my dues," Abigail turned her face sideways. "It hurt my feeling the way they acted.. They are unci..un.. They are barbarians.." She sees Andros looking at her and walks over to the door. The woman is crying as she sits on the porch when the door opens, "Your husband is a bully and your son laughed at me too. Calling me a whore was uncalled for Lady.."

"They did not mean it," The women is in tears.

"No excuses lady," Andros walks past them. "Abigail.. How you treat her is your business not mine, but I will not tolerate such behavior from grown adults."

"Please Mr. Colt.. We will lose everything," The woman cried. "I will do anything you want.."

"I want your husband and son to go back inside the Walmart and publicly apologize to Abigail. Stating everything they did," Andros coldly states.

"They wont do that," The woman cries.. She stands up, "Cant me and you come to some kind of an agreement.. Just.."

"No.. Abigail go get in the car," Andros sighs as Abigail gets up and heads to the car. "Lady... I am not that type of man. I know a shelter you can go to.. I am not going to inconvenience myself because of your discomfort However. I have a little girl to go play a round of beat the teachers with.."

The attractive woman is just crying, "Please.. Just call the person back and get him his job back.."

Andros walks to the car and hops in," Abigail." Andros starts the car with his fingerprint, "I made the phone call very pissed off to the man who owns the company.. He is a better man then I am.." Andros starts to drive away, "He listened to what I said, then took the time to calm me down.. I really wanted to shoot the SOB who said that about you."

"You have temper," Abigail squinted her nose.

"I do.. That I do," Andros drove down the dirt road. "The owner of the Company her husband worked for, he told me he would look into the situation but business was business.. And off the clock behavior does not affect how he deals with his employees. He must have found something when he went digging."

"Your temper tantrum had consequences," Abigail was thoughtful. "That lady was desperate like a drug whor.. Desperate narcotics user.."

"Do not go PC on my account little lady," Andros turned on the radio.. "Your Nana bless her soul tried her best."

"..Fall out continues in Rapegate. Speaker of the House Roberts assumed the office hours ago after President Domingo committed suicide and Vice President Monroe resigned. Andros Colt's expose on the sitting President is speculated to be the cause of his suicide," The Reporter pauses for a second..

"Uncle Andros.. They said your name," Abigail looked at Andros wide eyed.. "Your Famous Uncle Andros.."

"Yeah, infamous is more like it.. I hope you had no plans to visit DC.. " Andros snorted, "I do not think I am welcome in that town either."

"Former first lady, Harriet Domingo is looking into suing Andros Colt for malicious slander.. She is quoted as saying the expose was a violation of her and her husbands privacy. She categorically denies all involvement of herself or her husband in running underage girls for prostitution and has plead not guilty on all charges. Mr. Colt's web blog had a picture of a bicentennial quarter on its main page with a link to her response. We were unable to reach him for comment at this time."

"Its because you are a paid Cocks.." Andros shakes his head as Abigail giggles as he drives.

Elementary School
a Little while later

Abigail is apprehensive as she sniffs the air. She watches the other children play with blocks as she holds Andros's hand. "They smell funny Uncle Andros.. I also have to wear this for another two months.. They will make fun of me for this suit."

Andros goes to one knee and looks Abigail in the eye, "Honey it is ok to be afraid.. It is not fear just over stimulation of your brain.. It runs on the same pathways."

Abigail looks at Andros confused, "Brain Pathways.."

Andros takes a moment, "I suck at this dont I.. Uhm.. Pretend your .."

"Doctor Beckett," Abigail grins.. "I leaped into this body and have to go pretend I am kid.."

Andros hits his forehead. He puts his hand very seriously on Abigail's shoulder, "Doctor Beckett.. Ziggy is down.."

"so I am on my own, " Abigail hugs Andros and runs to play. She walks over to a group of children, "High.." She waves in her body armor," I am Abigail."

One of the Little boys smiles, "Cool.. You have.."

A little girl with blonde hair snobbily responds, "We dont not associate with poor peasants.."

Abigail looks around to see if any adults are paying attention.. She see's her Uncle Andros and one of the teachers talking. She smiles and moves to block the line of sight. She grabs the other girls side, "I will deal with you skank when no one is looking. Do NOT talk to me that way. "

The other little girl goes wide eyed and tries to get out of Abigail's grip.. "Let me go.."

Abigail lets go and the other little girl falls back over the blocks.. "Are you ok," Abigail acts surprised. "You are rude and mean.. Do not talk to me every again," She whispers to the little girl backing up on the floor.

Andros walks over calmly," Abigail.. This is to soon little one.. "

"Mister," The little boy tugs at Andros's pants. "That body armor is not cheap. It looks like a version of the one worn by the Legion."

"I have a friend or two Mr.," Andros ignores the crying little girl on the ground two feet away.

"I am Andre," The little smiles.. "Did yall hear that.. Abigail is wearing Legion armor.. It is the real deal.."

Several of the other kids come over and each one is awed..

"Does it give you super strength," Andre ask as he pokes a joint..

Abigail is confused as to how to respond. Andros motions in circles with his hand.

"It helps me walk for now so I am not trapped in a wheel chair," Abigail answers. "Uncle Andros made sure it doesnt have added strength."

Andros steps back as one of the teachers goes to the crying little girl.

Abigail spends the next few minutes showing the kids what her walking wheel chair can do.. All the kids are fascinated as they watch her move.

The teacher he was talking to came back over to him, "Dont worry about Ms. Wingfred.. She needed to be taken down a peg or two Mr. Colt. I am glad to see Ms. Redstone is adapting well to being in that contraption. Is it really Legion Armor?"

"Only the best Mrs. Avery.." Andros Colt smiles as he watches Abigail be the little star of the group, "She had it rough, but I am worried about her responses to the bully.." He looks at Mrs. Avery, "I have to get her cleared to attend school first.. I needed to see if she could handle the stress.. "

"Cleared," Mrs. Avery was confused. "You just fill out the paperwork and then turn it in.."

"It is not that Mrs. Avery," Andros politely called out to Abigail. "Honey.. It is time to go.."

Several of the other kids sighed..

"Can she stay a little longer," Andre asked?

"She would but," Andros thought for a second. "We have to get her home for her first day of horse riding basics for her therapy.. Plus she has to feed, water, and clean her horse."

"You have a horse," One of the other girls who had been in the background was shocked.. "But.. I dont have a horse.."

"I named her Al," Abigail proudly spoke. "I have to go practice horsie riding."

Andros laughs as Little Abigail takes his arm to walk, "This way your Majesty.."

Hours later

Abigail leans forward and sniffs the tall muscular man in front of her, "You smell like a woman mister Helos."

"That would be my darling wife's scent," Helos looks at Abigail and sniffs the air. "Phermone masking, strong as an ox, and a good ole sniffer.." Helos goes invisible in the field.

Abigail crotches down instinctively buts does not panic.. An invisible hand pushes her over and she rolls. She stands back up and disappears herself, "Uncle Andros.. Where did he go?"

"Um.. Honey.. I cant see you either," Andros laughs. "Helos quit picking on her.. She might decide she wants you as a mate.. And I cant fight off Gretchen.."

Helos reappears holding invisible, "As I suspected.. She is like me but a seventh gen by my guess.. " Helos goes to one knee, "Copy me Abigail."

It takes a few minutes but Abigail becomes visible again.

"You couldnt see me Uncle Andros," Abigail was excited. "I can be a real ninja turtle now.."

Helos looks at Andros, "She has been watching your video collection I see."

"She actually sets the viewer at three times the speed," Andros responds as he puts his hand on Helos's shoulder. "She however differs from you in a key way.."

"Sociopathy," Helos sighs and bends back down. "We have a lot to discuss Ms. Redstone.. May I call you Abby or Abigail."

"Yes sir.. " Abigail looks down thinking she is in trouble..

"Now dont go acting like your Uncle Andros and get your fur rubbed the wrong way. You are very special Little Abigail," Helos sees her face light up. "Do you know your are one of seven people on the planet who can go invisible like that."

"Their are billions of people on the planet ," Abigail counts on her fingers. "One of seven?"

"You are also rare in the fact you are one of twelve crossbreeds.. " Helos took a moment, "Can you do me a favor and go get me a soda from your uncle Andros's fridge?"

Abigail hugs Helos with tears in her eyes, "I am special.."

Helos takes a deep breath, "And are going to be a handful. Now run get me that Soda.. I will take a Mt. Dew."

"Grab me one to.. You can have one of the shakes." Andros calls out as she runs to the farmhouse, "Docs orders.."

Barn
Colt Farm

Abigail was brushing the horse," Your a pretty girl Al." She stops cold and picks up a metal rod.

A warm male voice comes from the entrance, "So this pretty little thing is my niece."

Abigail looks suspiciously at the man, "Who are you?"

"That is," andros was interrupted.

"Names are not that important little one. I heard this old goat had a pretty lady at his house and was not going to introduce me at all." The red headed man walks over and takes Abigails hand, "I am Alexander Delano Macer. You must be .. Nope you have to be adopted, your to pretty to be related to that ugly thing.."

Andros hits his forehead with his hand as Abigail smiles really big.

As she blushes, "I.. I.." She bites her bottom lip..

"Were family.. Handshakes are for strangers or bros," Alexander Picked Abigail up and gave her a big hug. As he sits her back down, "Is he treating you ok.. Ice cream, cake, and candy.. If not I know a mean women or tow if you like we can.."

"Alexander," Andros shakes his head trying not to laugh.

Abigail bites her lip, "No sir.. He refuses to buy Ice Cream.. I like him Uncle Andros.."

"Alexander.. Do me and you need to have a talk," Andros looks at Alexander.

Alexander winks at Abigail, "On her eighteenth birthday maybe. "

Andros hits Alexander and narrows his eyes as he points at Alexander.

Abigail laughs, "Let that big mean lady know he also is making me write my letters on paper."

"Oh how barbaric," Alexander sighs. "I got the same torture from my mama.."

"Abigail.. Make sure you do not bring home any male friends like Alex.." Andros shakes his head, "I will have to shoot them. "

Alexander smiles, "I will help you bury the body.. Now Little Abigail I am going to crash on the couch.. First I am going to cook my world famous chilli.."

"Chill.. Its not cold out side.. How do you cook air," Abigail is confused?

"You mean you have never had Chilli before," Alexander shakes his head. "Well that wont do.. Andros.. I will go start dinner then.. Mind if I shower first? Kinda had to get out of dodge first."

"Go.. Towels are in the same spot," Andros shakes his head as Alexander leaves..

Abigail watches Alexander walk to the house as she picks up the Brush, " He smelled like a woman to. Like Uncle Helos.. Why is he here?"

"Another bad influence. You might as well get your immunization shots in now.. I think Sandra's husband came home early again," Andros shakes his head as he tries not to laugh.

"Sandra," Abigail brushes the horse?

"He has loved her since he first saw her," Andros picks up a brush and helps Abigail. "The problem is that he did not have enough time to get her before she got to the altar. "

"She is the one that got away," Abigail ask? "Why does he smell like her then? Why does she marry him?"

"That little Abigail, is part of a set of long issues humanity has.. " Andros goes to brushing Al, "She cost him his military career because of their relationship. We were young and had no real guidance."

After a few moments of silence, Abigail walks around to Andros's side. As she takes the reins, "Uncle Andros.. Where is your woman? If Uncle Helos has this Gretchen woman, Alexander has this Sandra lady.. "

Andros closes his eyes as a tear comes down, "My .. I dont know how to answer that.. Let me spend a few years growing up and I might be able to answer you.."

Abigail sees the tear and feels the emotion.. She hugs Andros and says nothing else.

Dinner Table
Hours later

Chowing down on her chilli Abigail pauses as She sees Alexander grinning, "I.."

"Appear to be starving.. Does that mean Uncle of yours not feed you.. A growing weed like your self needs fuel to misbehave and get into a lot of trouble," Alexander happily responds.

Andros walks back in shaking his head, "Morons.. Did you hear the news?"

"About how your being investigated by the Department of Homeland security," Alexander winks at Abigail. "Something about questions on how you investigated the former President. Accusations of violations of national security.You kicked the hornets nest Andros."

"That was the mother Lodge Apparently they are going to look into how I have been running things down here," Andros was pissed. "Seems a few of my Fellow Freemason are facing charges for their involvement in Rape-Gate."

"Screw em," Alexander responds. "Abigail.. Listen closely because it is a free lesson.. The most expensive of its type. First off Andros your a big boy and knew they would retaliate. Two they will try and look into the Abigail thing. Helos will stomp on toes as necessary. Three the fact they are going this route means they have nothing at this moment and want to get you pissed.." Alexander pauses as he thinks for a second, "Roberts is a die hard conservative.. Means he has kept his affairs quiet and silent. You best luck is if he has a child."

Abigail sits and listens as the two adults talk over strategy and responses for the next thirty minutes.

The two men stop when they realize Abigail is quietly listening.

"Andros.. " Alexander looks at Abigail, "This young lady has finished two bowls of chilli and I think it is her bed time."

"Can I please stay up," Abigail begs? "This is cool. You two sound like Sheridan and Delenn discussing politics."

"You dont sound like a kid," Alexander warmly states as he takes a drink of his Alcoholic mixed drink. "It must be those trust genes. You are much smarter then I thought.. Brains and Beauty.. Yep, gonna have to loan your uncle Andros a streetsweeper. Let me know when we bury bodies Mr. Secratary.. As the Chairman for the Committee for a better future I will have to help bury them."

"Committee For a Better Future," Abigail took a drink of her sweet tea. "Chairman.."

"Might as well tell her," Andros takes a drink himself.

"I guess we can make her a junior member." Alexander leans close, "As a junior member you will have certain responsibilities. Protect the innocent, uphold the highest ideals we hold, and dont be afraid to get your hands dirty when necessary."

"I .." Abigail seems to radiate happiness, "I promise I will Uncle Alex."

"All righty little lady.. This is no joke," Alexander winks at Andros. "The three original members were known as the three musketeers. Over the years we have had several member join.. I heard you love Quantum Leap.. well that is one of the basics of the idea. The club was formed after we watched an Episode of Star Trek. The City on the edge of Forever in fact, when we were five."

Andros takes a deep breath, "Pregnant Mare on a farm.." After a few seconds, "Little Abigail we take this very seriously. We set up protocols if we ever travel through time.. You will have to study a lot of history.."

"You mean read books," Abigail got a disappointed look on her face.

"It is fun little one.. A book can excite the imagination and take you places you have never been before," Alexander paused for a moment. "If I remember correctly Doctor Beckett read a LOT of books Abigail."

Abigail moves her jaw sideways and glares at Alexander.

Morning Breakfast
Colt farm

Abigial Yawns as she walks downstairs in the Armor.. Half asleep she sniffs the air and hisses instinctively as she disappears.. Slowly she creeps downstairs..

"Good morning Mrs. Redstone," A female vocie calls out. "Your Uncle Andros really needs to tighten those steps."

Abigail jumps down and reappears, "Who are you and what have you done with my Uncle A.." Abigail pauses as she sniffs the air, "Your his girl friend.. No.. It is not the same type of smell. Similar but not the same."

"Nosey little girl," The brunette haired woman responds. "No he is not my Boyfriend. I am a married woman thank you."

"Then why do you smell like him, and its not his T-Shirt your wearing? His smell is all over you," Abigail sits at the table slowly. She sniffs the food in front of her..

"Gretchen and Helos are busy, Alexander is .. Well being Alexander, and Sandra's husband is in town and pissed. That left hobson's choice." The woman sits down and took a biscuit, "So your trust like Helos and Gretchen?"

Abigail's hunger overtakes her and she cracks open the biscuit not responding. She sniffs the Bacon and puts it into the biscuit and closes it. After she bites into the biscuit, "Who are you?"

"An old friend of your father's.. Well Uncle's.. I am Mrs. Reoneva.." Reoneva shakes her head, "You eat like he does. God.."

"Are you the one that got away," Abigail rudely ask?

"Almost little one.. Almost," Reoneva closes her eyes. She opens them up, "You are full of questions, suspicious, and eat like a little piglet. Are you sure your not Andros's blood kin?"

A communication device rings. A simple ring tone comes out as Reoneva answers it, "Hey.. I am eating breakfast." After a response, "No.. I am babysitting a child."

Abigail closes her eyes and stops moving as she listens in..

"..stards house." The male voice was very pissed off, "We are husband and wife.. What the hell.. You always seem to go to Andros when he calls.. "

"Listen..Tim," Reovena controls her anger. Very Lady like she sips her coffee, "Quit listening in Abigail.. Please, Sit up straight when your at the dinner table with me.."

Abigail gets a glumly look on her face, "Yes mam.. He sounds like an A#$."

Reoneva snorted and almost had coffee come out her nose, "Tim she is right. I am also curious which friend of yours got ahold of the information for you. If your gonna spy on me then perhaps we have a bigger problem. Me and Andros are just friends.. You knuckle head.. My dead sister always came between us and always wil.." She pauses as her emotions well up, "Listen.. I have a tutoring session with Abigail after she finishes breakfast.. I love you and you need to have more faith. I have to go."

Reoneva hangs up and turns off the phone.

"You lied to him, "Abigail took another bite of her Bacon Biscuit.

"No.. I told him the truth. " Reoneva closes her eyes, "Today was a mistake. I should let sleeping dogs lie. I am being paid to tutor you while I babysit you.. Once your done eating, You need to freshen up. I want to test you to see where you sit academically.."

"But I was already tested earlier this week," Abigail sounded unhappy.

Mrs. Reoneva just lowered her eyes at Abigail.

Faking a smile, "Yes mam."

Next Morning
Colt Farm

Gravel in the drive way crunched under Andros's feet. Abigail watched as Mrs. Reoneva kissed her Uncle Andros by her car.

"Andros," Mrs. Reoneva grabbed the back of Andros's head. After a few more minutes, "I have to go my love.. "

"You can stay here," Andros stroked the side of her face.

"We both know I am not the one you love," Reoneva looked into Andros's eyes. "I am happily.. Well, I am married Andros.. I should not have stayed and made out with you all night. If I stay I will.."

Andros kisses her again..

After a few minutes, "Andros.. You bastard.. I want you but part of your heart will always be hers.. I cant do this anymore baby.. Please find yourself.." She kisses Andros again.. "I am pregnant with Tim's child. I am going to be a mother.. "

Andros closes his eyes as the world seems to get small on him.

"She would not want you to live like this," They both have tears in their eyes. "Promise me you will find an emotionally available woman. Ok Little man.."

Andros kisses Reoneva and then stops, "Your right.. Go baby.. I loved you to ok.. I was just so young.. God.."

Reoneva gets into her car and starts it, "Abigail.."

Quietly Abigail comes to the car, "Yes mam.."

"I heard everything you went through.. Girl take care of that mess of an Uncle you have." Mrs. Reoneva reaches over to the side of her car..

"You still have teddy after all these.." Andros pauses and gulps as Mrs. Reoneva as she hands the Teddy bear to Abigail, "He protected me when I was scared and afraid.. I have had him since middle school.. I am giving you temporary custody of Teddy Ok.."

"This is," Abigail takes the Teddy Bear with wide eyes..

"Teddy is home again," Mrs. Reoneva has the tears flowing. "Good bye Andros.."

Andros wipes the tears from his eyes as he watches Mrs. Reoneva back up. He watches as the car pulls away as he cries..

Abigail looks up and sees the tears, "Uncle Andros.. Will you give me and teddy a hug.. " She waits a few seconds as she sees Her Uncle Andros not responding, "She is not coming back is she?"

"Is it Ok If I call you Auntie Gretchen," Abigail laid in her bed. Her suit was siting on its recharger as she was tucked in, "Uncle Alexander said we are all family anyway."

An older woman with long brown hair smiled, "Of Course. " Gretchen walks over and takes out a book, "Really Heinlein, Asimov, Clark, Benford, Brin, and a host of others.. Does Andros not understand what children's books are.."

"Uncle Andros is very upset," Abigail sounded worried. "I am not being sent away am I?"

"No little one.. Your stuck with us for a long time my little wildling," Gretchen crinkles her nose. "Sometimes things happen between adults. Mrs. Reoneva and Your Uncle Andros are haunted by a ghost of a dead girl. " Gretchen kisses Abigail's forehead, "We all came because.."

"Teddy is that important," Abigail held the Teddy bear tightly. "He likes his new home Auntie Gretchen.. He doesnt want to leave."

Gretchen pauses for a moment as she had picked out the book marked book, "Time Enough for love.. Not always.." She opens her eyes and takes a deep breath, "Abigail.. Teddy is that important. Teddy's uncle andros is not going to let anything happen to him. Today was rough on your Uncle because.."

"Time Travel.. We can build a time Machine and put it all back together properly. "Abigail snuggles with the Teddy Bear, "Teddy thinks it is possible. Why dont we build one and put it all right.. It went wrong so we fix it.."

"I am going to skin those three alive," Gretchen closes the book. "Its like a video game honey.. Except there is no restart button.. If you mess up it is messed up.. You would learn ," Gretchen pauses. "I will see what I can do.. This is partially my fault.. I should have just dealt with them myself.."

"Your fault Auntie Gretchen," Abigail opened her eyes as she yawned. She wiggled her toes under the red blanket she was under, "What did you do?"

"Not enough.. I let the rules get in the way when I should," Gretchen stops herself. "The lessons you learn when your little keep coming back.. That the reset button Abigail. No time travel.. In Corps I have had to deal with that same issue again and again. To the point it is a joke .." Anger seems to have filled her voice, "I never made the same mistake again.."

"I thought grown ups had things," Abigail pauses. "You are all making this up as you go arent you?"

Abigail gets a perturbed look on her face and changes it saying nothing..

Gretchen laughs at her, "So you are ignoring me. You intend to build a time machine and intend to go back in time and put right what once went wrong."

"No mam," Abigail had a gleem in her eye. "I am going to join the Marine Corps.. Become like you Auntie Gretchen.. Then I am going to steal someone else's time machine."

"You have been around Alexander and Andros to much I see," Gretchen laughs again. "Marines do not steal honey.. I tell you what.. If you decide to join the Corps.. I will sponsor you for OCS.." She kisses Abigail's forehead.

For the next Thirty minutes She reads Robert A. Heinlein's Time Enough for love. She listens as Abigail's heart beat and breathing slow to slepp. Slowly standing up she puts the book up and walks to the door. "Poor thing thinks it is her fault this is going.. I wish I had done more.."

Gretchen Closes the door slowly and walks away..

"Teddy.. She is gone," Abigail opens her eyes and looks up at the glow stars on her ceiling. "We have to fix this Teddy.. He saved us both. Uncle Andros deserves happiness. We are going to have to plan Teddy.. Get big, get strong, get smart, and then we do what doctor Beckett did."

Abigil yawns again.. Her eyes close..

"First Teddy we get a good nights sleep," Abigail snuggles with Teddy. "Tomorrow we start.. Operation Rebirth will take place Teddy. I am going to see to it."

Abigail had tears in her eyes as she put the last bit of dirt over her dead dog, "I.. I am bad person.. Its.. Its my fault I did not put him up when the delivery truck showed up.. He would be alive if I had not been irresponsible.."

Andros held Abigail as she cried saying nothing..

"Your not going to say anything," Abigail was crying.

"I do not have to," Andros calmly spoke. "Some of life's lessons you just have to learn. "

"Thats just heartless," Abigail still had her head buried on his chest.

"Abigail.. My little hellion," Andros took a moment to gather his words. "Nothing has to be said. You will not make the mistake twice because it is a lesson you paid for in blood. Why do you think I had you shoot Gulliver. His lungs were punctured and his spine snapped. He was drowning in his own blood in pain. You put down your own dog today."

Abigail just held Andros and cried and cried..

After Ten minutes, "Now comes the next part. We still have chores to do.. I will help you do them today.. We have to get the Fish out of the Aquaponic parts of the farm. Then we have clean the horses.. Life goes on honey and so must you."

"How can you as a norm be so cold bloodied," Abigail was sniffling?

"Because I paid a much higher price then a pet my dear. Everyone tells me I was only a kid and it was not my fault," Andros had tears in his own eyes..

Abigail looked up at her Uncle Andros, "At the end of the day everything is my fault.." Abigail repeated the philosophy, "And it gives me power to fix it or prevent it."

"Exactly," Andros seemed to be elsewhere for a few seconds. "It does not endear you to people, but it is time tested good old fashioned advice."

Abigail was asleep as she laid on the couch next To her Uncle Andros. Andros Picked her up and Carried her upstairs to her bed.

Abigail yawns in her Pajama's as Andros covers her and Teddy up. Standing up he walks over to the door and shuts it. He slowly walks out to the deck.

He pours some jack into a cup and looks up into the stars.

"Hey Austin," Andros takes a drink. "I miss you.."

Andros's eyes water as he listens to the Crickets.

"Your sister still hasnt spoke to me.. I think she's happy.. Your an Aunt.." Andros pours a refill..

He downs it as he stares at the sky..

A raven flies over head, "Really. so Odin is listening tonight.. " Andros pours another drink, "Abigail is doing ok. She learned a hard lesson today.. She is adjusting to life pretty well. She has not killed anyone I know of. I could use your advice.." Andros hears an Owl, "I can be insane If I want to be.. Why did you have to kill yourself Austin.. We could have done something.."

Andros just cries into his drink..

"Helos is doing ok.. He got the girl as you know. Alexander and Sandra broke up again as you know," Andros looks up into the sky. "Austin.. I just get the feeling you were not supposed to die.. Your supposed to be here with me.."

Andros just has another drink..

"There has got to be a GOD D@#$ way," Andros throws the glass into the woods. Sighing, "I am getting old.. Tell saint Peter he better not be there when I get there for roll call.. I am going to stomp a mud hole in his A$$."

Andros goes back inside the house.. He walks downstairs and looks at the phone.

He dials a number and hears a voice, "Andros.. "

"I am so sorry Diana," Andros responds. "I am not calling to upset you just.. I have been an a$$.. I wish I had.. Can I please talk with my friend, I need her.."

"What happen Baby, "Diana ask?

Andros tells her about everything for the next thirty minutes..

"Andros," Diana Reoneva has tears you can hear on the phone. "Baby there was nothing you could have done. You were thirteen. Ok.. Shut up Tim.. " Diana takes a deep breath, "Andros.. Go live your life.. You need to socialize and reach out to other people. Abigail will eventually grow up and you will be by yourself in that house."

Abigail was worried when she got outside on the deck, "Auntie Sandra.." She see's the Two empty bottles of jack and hears Uncle Andros on the phone.

"I really do not give two flying F#$%s," Andros growls at the holoscreen. "Re-read the contract and the blank check clause. I have already executed the clause. I withdrew the money from the account five minutes ago. All ten million dollars with waiver of non-disclosure."

"D#$% it Andros," The executive was pissed off. "We did not bury the story.. It was bumped.. "

"BullS#$% Fredson," Andros growls right back. "You got pressure from the white house to kill the story and I know it. You also just lost my column and all associated royalties Which also just got withdrawn."

"Andros.. That much money withdrawn will ruin us," Fredson was clearly upset. "That material is copy righted and belongs to us. It was created for us."

"Fredson.. Check the contract you happily signed," Andros laughs still half lit. "Tell the new C#$% who you run propaganda for that she just cost you your news organization.."

"I have friends in the new Administration," Fredson yells at Andros. "Bad things can happen to people Andros. Like children and friends."

"Youre threatening me," Andros looks at Fredson?

"No I am promising you. We have agreements with a lot of stations to run stories.. You will never work in this town again," Fredson was very pissed. "I went to college and got a degree in reporting and earned my spot.. You are just a stupid idiot like most of the viewers of these damn stations.."

Someone comes running into Fredson's office.

"Get out you idiot," Fredson growls. "On your way out get legal to come in here.. We are going to destroy Mr. Colt here.. I want you.."

"Sir your live on the air with the Fox Affiliates," the other man growls..

"I," Fredson freezes. "You SOB.. You think you can do this to me.. I will destroy you.. He is bluffing."

Andros brings up the other holo Screen..

"Mr. Colt," The Fox news analyst took a deep breath. "How do you respond to Mr. Fredson's threats?"

"Oh I think it is dawning on him who is the idiot." Andros grins evilly, "Fredson.. To paraphrase Churchill, I may be drunk. The difference is by lunch I will be sober and you will still be an idiot.."

"You SOB.. " Fredson growled as he cut off the signal..

"Well that was the former infotainment director for our liberal sister stations," The Fox news analyst was smirking. "You heard it hear first.. Fox News your trusted advisor.." The fox news analyst took a moment, "Before you get off the horn you old dinosaur.. The Chairman of Fox wanted me to offer you a contract.. Four hundred million dollars for five years.. Same agreement you had at our liberal conterparts.."

Andros holds up his hand, "Tell her I said thank you but As beautiful as she is I am not for sell. " Andros pauses, "Wait didn't she just get divorced..." Andros tries to remember her..

The Fox news anchor laughs, "Her new wife would not find the joke funny."

"Well.. I have to go do that responsible adult thing.." Andros sighs, "Tell both of them I will send them a late wedding gift for my rude manners."

Andros cuts off the line..

Sandra walks out on the deck and shakes her head, "You.. I got a phone call to come check on your Lazy A$$.. You need to quit calling her when your drunk.."

Andros stuck his tongue inbetween two of his fingers, "Abigail.. Dont you dare copy me.. You want pancakes from IHOP?"

"You turned down four hundred million dollars," Abigail was shocked.. "Thats nearly half a billion Dollars.."

"Money comes and goes," Andros laughs.. "Its family and friends that matters Little one.. If Sandra would join us we could go mother shopping Abigail.. Do you want an Asian, Hispanic, African, or white mother?"

Abigail giggles, "You are full of yourself Uncle Andros.."

The Old cat walks out to the Deck and looks at Andros, "Meow.."

"See.. Even Gwen thinks your being stupid.." Sandra lets the anger slip into her voice, "You.."

"Call Him Sandra," Andros sounded sober. "She wouldnt want you to live your life like this! Those are the words right?"

Sandra has a tear in her eye, "You are a self righteous Prick.."

Out behind the barn

Abigail shoots off four cans. She re-holsters her side arm, "Who is the blonde that gives you nightmares Uncle Andros?"

Walking over to the soda can bag, Abigail sits up seven Cans in different positions..

"It is much more interesting when they shoot back," Helos calmly speaks.

"Uncle Helos.. I take it Auntie Sandra called, " Abigail takes a deep breath. In slow motion Tai Chi style she moves to a firing Stance. With the same precision she slowly fires on the cans one by one. "Uncle Andros will be fine. He misses whoever she is.. " Abigail is very quiet as she walks over to the can bag. She takes out more cans..

Helos sits down in the grass, "It was the worst two years of our lives Abigail. I ran the gauntlet Little one at fifteen.. I was so young and small, skin and bones like you. I was pitted against the best killers on the planet. I lived, They died." Helos gets a far away look on his face.

"One thousand five hundred and eighty seven trust members died to be exact. " Abigail holsters her nine millimeter, "Youngest participant ever, highest kill score ever, first survivor in over two decades, and not a scratch on you."

"I also made love to two women during that time," Helos smiled. "Only two women I have ever slept with. This summer I want to introduce you to Samantha.. She would be good for you to meet."

"EWe.." Abigail sits down in the grass, "Uncle Helos do you get the urge to kill the norms?"

"Little one I do not have the sociopathy expressed like you do," Helos puts his arm around Abigail. "Are you happy here with your Uncle Andros?"

"He is mean sometimes.. So far Uncle Andros has not ever been wrong. Same with Uncle Alexander or you.."

"We are wrong all the time little one.." Helos laid back and looked up at the clouds, "I had to leave the pow wow going on on the deck. I wanted to strangle Your Uncle Alexander.. He is doing his damn leadership thing and I hate him for it right now.. "

"This dead girl that haunts uncle Andros," Abigail copied Helos and laid back. "He is taking responsibility for her death.. I dont get that.. From what I have heard he wasnt even around her or friends with her."

"Abigail.. He is the leader of the Three musketeers and Chairman for the committee for a better future," Helos sighs and closes his eyes. "It does not matter on any of those things.. He was in charge and it happened on his watch. The buck stops with him even if the events are outside his control."

"You were kids from what I was told." Abigail is confused and it comes out in her voice, "Who is she and where did she live.. I mean it is silly that uncle Andros pines for a girl he was never even friends with. He claims they were supposed to be together.."

Helos is very quiet for a minute, "Its none of our business right now. "

Alexander walks out of the renovated barn. As he gets to the two of them, "Well its my turn to babysit.. Abigail.. You promised me you would come to my new house and help me decorate.. Well your gonna keep your word."

"Uncle Alexander," Abigail sounded bored. "Me and Adriana could have stayed home.. I know Uncle Andros is taking care of something.. Why would I.."

Abigail goes silent as she see's the huge crowded parking lot.. She sees the huge crowd..

"Alexander.. A concert.." Adriana is wide eyed, "FST is preforming tonight.. I love his song F#$% da Ho like you mean it.. My god.. You got tickets to FST Baby.. They have been sold out for three months.."

"FST," Abigail was shocked as hell.. "You are taken me to the.. WOW!!"

Alexander pulls up to the front of the performance arena. "Ladies.. I have no tickets.." Alexander gets out of the car..

"Alex," Adriana sounds embarrassed.. "You cant just barge your way into.."

A member of the security detail walked over to Alexander, "Sir you cant park your car here.."

"Ladies.. Please get out of the car," Alexander hands the keys to the security guard. "Tell FST that Macer is here.. Park her for me my good man."

"Alexander," Adriana is in blue jeans and a FST shirt as she climbs out.. "You.. "

"Go ahead and call Ramone and let him know I am here.. It is rude of me .. FST is warming up." Alexander motions at the security gaurd, "Your waiting on a tip." Alexander puts a hundred dollar bill in the security guards pocket.

"Sir I am not the Valet," The Security guard shakes his head. He reports the situation in..

A males voice comes over the com, "S#$%.. Macer the old dawg.."

"RST," the security guard is shocked.

"Ramone buy me a few minutes.. " FST's voice comes over the com, "I will be there in a second.."

The security guard stands there wide eyed.. "I will park your car for you sir.."

Adriana and Abigail are wide eyed..

Holding Teddy, "We are going to see FSt Teddy!"

A few minutes later a lot of security guards come outside.. Several members of the crowd are held back..

"Macer Dawg.. What the hell you could a commed.." FST walks out shirtless and greets Macer, "Whose the hotties.."

"Adriana.. This is FST," alexander watches as FST gives Adriana a hug.. "This little hellion is my niece Abigail.. And the bear with her is Teddy."

"I have all your vids. Me and Teddy watch them all the time." Abigail is just as awed as Adriana, "We.. Tickets.."

FST picks up Abigail, "F#$% tickets.. Your gonna sit back stage.. Yo Ramone..Yalls, Dis is Alex.."

Ramone and several others walk over and greet Alex, "The Alexander Macer.. Damn.. Its an honor.."

Adriana is shocked and speechless, "FST's crew.. WOW.. " She jumps excitedly, "BACKSTAGE TO THE HOTTEST CONCERT OF THE YEAR!!!!!"

"Dis is Adriana.. Shes Alex's H.. Lady.. And this little Lady is Our family," FST orders..

Abigail is biting her lips, "FST.. I am so gonna tell my friends."

FST sits Abigail Piggy back style on his head, "Com em.. I will talk to them myself.. Bring Teddy to, My fan littlest fans deserve the best.."

Alexander smiled evilly, "I do not need tickets.."

FST crew grins when they hear Adriana whisper, "After the concert you are so getting Laid.." She kisses Alexander deeply and then shakes as she screams, "BACKSTAGE.."

Alexander is wearing a bathrobe boxers and slippers, "Good morning Little one.. Hows the prettiest woman on earth doing?"

Abigail rolls her eyes, "You say that to every woman Uncle Alexander." She is wear her Pajama's as she is dragging Teddy with her..

"You see how they treat me Teddy.. Just for that I am feeding just Teddy and not you or Adrianna." Alexander sticks his tongue out at Abigail. "Do NOT touch Teddy's bacon, biscuits, or scrambled eggs with swiss cheese.. You can starve.."

Abigail yawns as she grabs her booster seat. She sits it in the chair, "Your still not a gentleman sir. Making a Lady get her own chair.. Humph.."

"Did me and Adriana wake you up," Alexander grins evilly.. "My care cup was ordered little one.. So you know.. You will have to step up your game a bit on those cards.. Auntie Sandra cant get away with that.."

Abigail sits Teddy on the empty spot at the table, "Thank you for breakfast you meanie.. Also for showering.. You do stank purty.." Abigail giggles as she crawls into her highchair, "Adriana is asleep?"

"She just closed her eyes before I came downstairs to make Me and TEDDY breakfast," Alexander responds with a dignified hurt looking face. Alexander watches as Abigail splits open the first biscuit and takes the salt shaker and puts it on the biscuit. As she bites it, "Yeap.. You sure act like Andros.."

Abigail scarfs down the first biscuit as she takes the second one. Splitting it open she puts bacon and eggs on it, "I drink Orange Juice not milk for breakfast. That and I am not .."

Alexander waits for her to finish the statement. As Abigail puts the biscuit into her mouth, "I guess we do need to talk about that. Abigail, your Uncle Alexander is a good man. Damn better friend then I deserved.. From what I see a pretty good father.. You have to allow him to live his own life and suffer his faults."

A loud series of banging knocks come from the front door, "Open the F#$%ing door you A$$hole!!!" An Older man's voice came over the air, "I know it was you who burned downs my business last night.. The Cops are on their way to talk with you.. You will not get away with this.."

"Speaking of faults..I dont think I am opening the door," Alexander laughs..

More loud banging comes over the air.. Abigail narrows her eyes as she see her uncle Alexander moving his hands to the beat of the banging on the door..

"First you take advantage of my baby girl.." The older man sounds pissed, "I am the President of the Home Owner's association and you will pay for this Alexander.."

"Adriana's father," Abigail rubs her face.. "Thats why we went to FST's concert. We took photo's back stage and the cops will be able to verify you were in front of thousands of people.."

Adriana comes downstairs in a bathrobe very pissed off. She slams the door open as the private security pulls up.. "What the hell dad.. First off I am nineteen.. Your the one who left me homeless and not able to go back to college.. Two, I will F#$% whoever I want when I damn well want.."

Abigail is shaking her head as she eats her biscuit.,

"Cheers," alexander lifts his sweat tea to Abigail..

"And third you dumb A$$," Adriana is very pissed.. "We were back stage all night with FST.. We have the photo's, the Valet stubs, and the damn video proof.. FST with his back up sung an impromptu R and B song to Abigail and Teddy on stage.. Ode to Teddy is climbing in the chart counts as we speak.." Adriana's anger filled her voice.. "If you hired illeagal workers or paid for cheap people to install your wiring again.. Then good.. You got what you paid for.. And Forth, Richard P. Farnsworth.. When I got home I F#$%ed the S#$% out of Alexander.. I Just went to sleep you God D#$% prick and I am going back to sleep. Do NOT ever knock on my door again or I tell mom about who is in niceville.. I am F#$5ing going back to bed and I swear to god if the cops show mom will find out!!! In fact.. I am going to call her now anyway so she can leave you and take half of everything.."

Abigail goes wide eyed as she hears the door slam, "Wow.. "

Adriana yawns as she walks into the kitchen.. She walks over to Alexander and sits in his lap. "I apologize alex.. I should not cuss around Abigail, but.. I hate him.."

"Adriana.. He is your dad.. Forgive him, but do not forget," Alexander held Adriana as she snuggled in his lap. "Abigail wont repeat what she heard my dear.. She is of good raisin' and vouched for.."

Abigail watches as Adriana snuggles with Alexander and sniffles..

"Does he have to be so hateful.. He cheats on mama all the time. " Adriana yawns and re-snuggles, "I do love him but.. He.." Adriana yawns again as Alexander holds her up.. "I just want to get a few hours sleep.."

"Tell you what," Alexander holds Adriana. "You just sit here for a few minutes ok. Then when Abigail is done eating she can play online and watch what ever she wants.. We can sleep on the couch as she plays Video games or watches movies.."

Adriana snuggles, "Ok baby.."

Abigail rolls her eyes and shakes her head, "All for one.." She raises her Orange Juice glass to Alexander..

"One for all," Alexander raises his tea Glass to Abigail.
