Okay folks, no one here should have to wonder or scratch their heads about my position on criminals calling themselves "immigrants". I think I've been fairly clear about how I feel regarding felons in our nation, busting our laws, then demanding we give them stuff for the honor of being victimized.
Having said that, so as not to be mistaken for the other side?
Whomever came up with THIS idea, needs to be shown the door and blackballed for good measure.

Repugnant, Repulsive, and beneath basic human decency is about where I rank that one. Yup.... Dr. King ...what?!
I don't even LIKE Martin Luther King Jr. as a man. What I know of him has left me with the impression that he was pretty much a scumbag when the cameras were off. Then again..so were some of our founding fathers..but I digress. The point is..I'm no lover of Dr. King as a person, either.
Still...It isn't Martin Luther King as a MAN we care to recall his name for. No one cares either way about his sex life or personal affairs. No... He's remembered, and rightly so, for the incredible impact he made on a nation for basic human rights, and during a time when violence against a whole part of our nation's population was a normal daily event.
He stood for peace, cooperation, understanding and the sincere hope those things would be more than mere words in his lifetime. Sadly...he didn't see so much of his dream come true.
Fortunately...he was NOT around to see how such a noble legacy of action could be perverted to support a political agenda. Sad....whichever side the agenda comes from or whatever topic it may be pushing. It's like despoiling his legacy as a symbol and leader. Its like stealing a little piece of what made that symbol SO powerful and special.
If they're looking to gain support in this immigration fight...I'll note, I'm as hard core a supporter as they're likely to find against felony fugitives being given amnesty. However....stupid stuff like this is almost enough to turn even ME against them over it. How absolutely tone deaf and, yes, I'll even say hateful for how LITTLE it shows they grasped anything about the Civil Rights fight he briefly stood near the head of.

The late Martin Luther King Jr., and his “I have a dream” speech are being used in an effort to fight President Obama’s executive action to grant worker amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.
At issue: Jobs taken by illegals that America’s minorities, specifically blacks and legal Hispanics, need.
“Was that Dr. King’s dream?” asks the ad produced by Californians for Population Stabilization and launched this week on national cable news networks leading up to Monday’s celebration of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.
