This is interesting, and it seems by numbers and circumstances, it is what it is. The index cases appear to be un-vaccinated with a fair % of those thus far testing positive also un-vaccinated.
I just relay what I find on this one, as I've noted myself that I have all my base vaccinations and childhood sets .. but they can put the flu vaccine in their own arm. It sure isn't going in mine. So, mixed feelings would be my best position. Mixed by what the vaccine is for.
Measles is a logical one to want to avoid as a disease, and eradicating this from America was a great thing to have achieved. It is a shame that the achievement lasted so short a period of time.

So.... About those 10's of thousands of illegals, distributed straight from the border to all 50 states by the Feds? I suppose vaccination wasn't a part of their intake, either.
This will be an interesting future at this rate. I do hope the spread from the Disney outbreak slows and stops quickly though. WHAT a place to have an index case of measles. Of ALL things for contagious factor. It had to be that one.

Measles infections in the U.S. skyrocketed last year, with 610 cases reported. That's the highest number since 2000, when the disease that causes a rash, high fever and red, watery eyes was considered to have been eliminated. The CDC says the increase is tied to a decline in child vaccinations.
