If any of our members are Michiganders, or are able to explain the reasoning, I have a question for you.
We've noticed that good number of vehicles here in MI seem to have a common theme across brands -- a silver dog emblem on the rear end, left of the trunks/above bumpers. It's always a line drawing, and never has anything accompanying it (such as no club name or team name, etc) It's driving us nuts, it's not like we can stop a driver and ask, and no one we know seems to know either (random suggestions from it could be a dealership emblem to maybe an ASPCA or Kennel club one)
I tried getting pictures today, but it just wasn't happening with my cell. Too blurry, or the stupid thing would take the photo after a car changed lanes/exited the road...

adjensen, that's possible. I've never heard of the dog, but people around here are obviously very big fans of MSU as it is. It could be something as simple as symbolizing a little tradition like that.

I lived in Michigan back when I was a kid for about a year and a half but I don't recall that symbol. Many decades have passed since then and adjensen's theory is plausible but I don't know- we were all Wolverine fans when we lived there!
