Mitt Romney says he’s considering a 2016 run

It's articles like this that make me want to work on my "Bitch-Slap a Politician" Day project.

Oh, now if he does this..I'll have to dig out my material against his 2008 primary run. The stuff where he and 'The Liberal's Liberal' Ted Kennedy not only got along very well, but were literally on the campaign trail together.

He doesn't scare dems because he's too much like Bush. He scares them because he's too much like THEM.

I wouldn't vote him dog catcher while being over run with packs of dogs.

On the Dem side I will have a Participating Bilderberg member Shillary.... Major No thanks...  

As an independant I am voting for Guohua and making Mr. G in charge of the secret service for protecting her. The inauguration with real Chinese food.... Oh yeah..

You're Absolutely Correct, The problems is, You have to be Ultra Rich and know the Ultra Rich to even think of Running, No Joe or Jane The Plumbers!

I think I'd put that man's morals, religion, and politics a couple miles above Romney's any day of the week, and at least twice on a Sunday.

Just when you think the electoral choices couldn't get any worse than the last time, here's comes the surprise. Can I get someone to quote the prevalent definition of "insanity" for me just one more time? I may not have heard it correctly the first time.

I'm still on board with the notion of an internet candidacy of a Dark Horse independent candidate. I think that would be the wave of the future, and that advertising would be much cheaper - with a much wider potential audience - than the current paradigm of radio and TV ads, and billboards and whatnot. The Democrat guy (can't recall his name) that tried internet fundraising during the 2000 election had the right idea, but the wrong implementation. Internets have much more utility than simple fundraising in a political arena.

I'm still for writing in wrabbit2000 as the next president.

I went looking for lists of possible candidates from each party. As long as the mood here is doom and gloom, I might as well chip in. In case Hillary falls down the stairs again, or some scandal resurfaces (she may have rehired her husband's "Bimbo Eruption" team), the other Democrat possibles seem to be:

One thing's clear, the Republicans have a deeper bench. But there's no sense electing a Republican if the result will be roughly the same as Hillary or Bush's "Compassionate Conservatism." We can't elect anyone who would give us the same result as Obama, besides Bernie Sanders, the self-identified Socialist, because we don't have anyone who would be as disastrous as the current president. (I'll go back to using a capital P when our current president leaves office.

If I was putting in a team to make drastic changes and turn the country around, I'd consider Ben Carson for president, Scott Walker for Vice-president, John Bolton for Secretary of State, and Peter King for Homeland Security. I'd let the numbers and policy wonk, Paul Ryan, pick his spot as long as it had something to do with the economy.

I wouldn't let Chris Christie or George Pataki anywhere near the capitol.
