Guys... c'mon, really? The kids?

They are the ones who didn't choose to be dragged into a world where their childhood ended on Jan 20th of 2009. I feel real pity for every first family's children, and especially after reading a bit more about it with history a couple years ago. I don't envy their position, and I'll just bet they DO envy ours out here. The kids, anyway.

Imagine, while you were a teen .. NEVER having privacy. Period. EVER. Never having a friend ..not ONE..who wasn't first investigated for possible ulterior motives of them or someone connected to them? Those kids can't even go online without protections in 10 different ways, and never..ever...even as a JOKE, hint at who they really are as individual people. The scandal would be headlines by morning ...and that is the world the poor kids live in, from formative childhood to the end, in some cases. Especially the 8 year cases.

So.. I'm going to be odd here and say good for her. I'll just bet, outside the 'us and them' mindset that MUST develop for any first family....she probably doesn't care for Mom and Dad any more than WE like her parents. That's a loud way to rebel, in her position.

Seriously...do you think Daddy has time to do much more than say Hiya once in a while? He's been groomed to this job since long before we heard his name, by some..and so I'll bet he redefines "Father in name only". ...and has anyone looked at Michelle in the context of calling that Mom? The wicked witch of the West had more endearing qualities for a warm and fuzzy side.

As little as I think of the Obama's as a whole in this case who cares.

I wouldn't read too much into this, she's a teenager.

I'm surprised they don't act out a whole lot more than that. I don't think I'll have a lower opinion of children by the shirt she wore tho. Kids will be kids..and I can't think of parents I'd expect rebellion from the kids more with.
