I never believe poll numbers. They may give a glimpse of an issue, but never the whole picture. You can poll a classroom and have an accurate picture of what that particular class thinks, but to say it represents the town or State is just misleading. That's what many of these MSM polls are.
Most of the people participating in these polls are not chosen randomly. They volunteer their opinions. Just like many supposed journalists should label their articles as opinion pieces, rather than a actual news article. They report on how they feel, rather than the facts quite often.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
