There is a problem in our nation today, and this story hits it like a game on the midway lighting up for a winner.
Oh...No...not again, eh? Does the FBI run on rumor and deep paranoia these days..or what? The core problem? Oh..that's simple. We have people with nothing but fear between their ears, and they run things right now.

That last part is a quote from them, one might assume, to cover their rather exposed tail if some kid pranked them into a national warning.
I don't believe we pay them to "take all threats seriously". No..I don't believe that is what the public expects at all, when we see how far it's been taken in that logic now. I think we expect them to take ALL SERIOUS THREATS as ones to look closer at.
How should they know the difference? I dunno...and the problem is, they don't seem to either. So why is it they hold those high jobs with big paychecks, and one of us doesn't, if this is the best the difference in choices can be expected to make? Perhaps they need to start missing a few more..pranks...and focus on THREATS which carry more than vague rumor in a B.S. post to suggest anything?
A confidential bulletin sent by the FBI to companies across the US warning of further cyberattacks by the Sony hackers may have been based on fake posts and messages created by a prankster.
Earlier today we reported that the FBI sent a bulletin on Dec. 24 that warned companies of further threats made by the Guardians of Peace hacker gang. That's the group that targeted Sony Pictures, but the FBI warned that it was threatening a media organization as well.

As part of our commitment to public safety, the FBI routinely shares information with the private sector and law enforcement community. We take all threats seriously and will continue to disseminate relevant information observed during the course of our investigations, in order to help protect the public against any potential threats.
