Revelations and the End of Times

I've been watching it, too.

Although I don't really believe in 'the end of days' unless humans bring it on ourselves, it is clear that throughout history civilizations have failed to heed the warnings of decline and demise.

I think the world is in a new cycle of 'reorganization' - but I have lots of trouble with the notion that 'someone'(ANYONE) is coming to 'save us'. That feels like childish confidence that 'mom and dad will help me' when we feel overwhelmed and in danger.

"The Rapture" makes NO SENSE to me whatsoever, but I definitely see the possibility of humans destroying ourselves with our 'modern' technology and overarching strife.

It is WE who can stop it - or not. We humans - no one else. No ethereal savior is headed here - and after millennia of people warring and conquering, it's pretty clear to see that trend is not stopping anytime soon.

It's a shame, but I don't think 'the Bible' is any more credible than any other 'apocalyptic' prediction. Do states and civilizations fail? Yep. Every time.
I enjoy the show, though - not bad for History Channel (they sometimes sensationalize and skew things for dramatic purposes).

I have recently come into a whole new idea about all that. I don't think its gonna happen what everyone thinks at all, at all. Could be wrong, but everyone has this plan based on the book and believe they know what exactly God's plan is. That belief will blind people to what is important to know, in their own end, and they will miss the unveiling/revelation of HIS TRUTH for themselves.
