my new trip idea. my mother in law would love nothing more than to have my daughter for a couple weeks. she is off all summer so it is perfect. thinking about taking the wife to rome/vatican city.
i think it would be an amazing trip.
neither of us are religious. kind of despise organized religion actually but we both love the art. the architecture. the history of it.
the pantheon st peters basilica the vatican the vatican gardens and the obelisk the apostilic palace michaelangelo's pieta
this is the one time i have enough cash(not credit) to go anywhere i want. ireland has always been on the top of my list. i have people there. eqypt is up there too but i have a rule about going some place i have to get shots first. then its rome.
i am seriously considering this. 10 days or so in italy. just me and the wife. would be awesome
Grovit, That would be a Exciting trip to see all the Old Structures, the architecture.

on a serious note. it would be amazing. i am very excited about possibly seeing all that. spending time with my wife. even though there will be people all over it will be just her and i.
on a semi joking yet serious note, i would love to have a nice loop on after throwing back a couple of my vicodins and then stroll through the sistine chapel. how many people can say that...you know?
"so what did you do yesterday grovit?"
"eh, nothing much. had a few crepes for breakfast. popped a couple vike 10's then strolled around the pantheon..spent a some time there and then cruised over to st peters basilica. scoped out the sistine chapel." no big deal

You can get into the "Secret Vatican Archives", but only if you're an accredited scholar, they don't let in Joe Lunchbox, because if you ask to see an Eighth Century document, they give you the document, not a copy.
Research in the Archivio Segreto Vaticano is free of charge and open to qualified scholars conducting scientific studies.
All researchers must have a university degree (five-year course) or an equivalent university diploma.
Clergymen must possess a licentiate degree or PhD.
Today permission is granted to consult the documents in the archives up until the end of the papacy of Pius XI (February 1939). (Source)
