Don't let anyone ever say I'm partisan. I used to be, and I'm a conservative. Sure enough. Conservative isn't a political party though, its a world view and mistaking me for something like a Republican just isn't nice.
This kind of thing is why....
Oh... Yeah... I'm sure. Who couldn't imagine making this mistake, after all. Eh? (Young folks are exempt and I wouldn't expect all to see the humor or sarcasm here)
Someone old enough to be the third ranking Republican in the US House tho? Umm.. Are they kidding? David Duke? European-American Unity and Rights? Wow.... He didn't even get a little SENSE...of just MAYBE a tone of whiteness at the meeting? David DUKE's own group?
The aide, in my opinion, stopped digging a hole with a shovel right about here........and moved over to serious earth moving equipment!

Oh, yes. That makes it all MUCH better in my mind. He just flat out admits his boss was slithering around the state, peddling his stuff like a door to door salesman and with all the genuine care of one for whatever audience he was peddling to at that moment. I'm sure we all suspected and kinda knew they didn't give two craps on a graham cracker for what we thought, even when coming to our places to speak.....but what a guy, to have an aide confirm it.
I'd send a thank you note to his public relations email, but sarcasm like that would probably get a person in actual trouble these days.

Louisiana political blogger Lamar White Jr. reported Sunday that Scalise, the third-highest ranking Republican in the House, spoke before the European-American Unity and Rights Organization founded by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.
The Scalise aide said he had only one staffer at the time and "was running across the state speaking to anyone who would listen to him" talk about cutting state taxes. He would not have spoken to the organization had he known it was a white supremacy group, the aide added.

"Throughout his career in public service, Mr. Scalise has spoken to hundreds of different groups with a broad range of viewpoints. In every case, he was building support for his policies, not the other way around," Scalise spokesperson Moira Smith said in a statement.
