Tried to put a terrabyte drive in with the regular one
Got a copy of windows..
I couldnt get the second drive to come up and the first one is stuck in Fing windows 8
I tried reformating and probably f'd things up
maybe BCM can explain it better
I think I wiil just be getting a second mother board for her computer this is so she can have it to game
I did study in IT (although a while back) and I know for a fact that when you add a second HDD to a PC, you must set the jumper on the main drive as master and the others as slave or it wont work. if the new windows is installed on the new HDD, make sure that the Boot process is set to boot from that drive first.
and of course, you must ensure that any hardware added is compatible to the original PC.

There is a lot more to it than adding a new mother board! You might need a new CPU, which might mean you need a different "RAM" not to mention the "graphics card" and the wattage of your PC's battery!
I just rebuilt my PC and it took me months of studying Y tube video and technical advice. If you need any help, let me know!
As per the hard drive, use on as a back up! If you want a bigger one for internal use, get an internal hard drive for that, and get an external hard drive for a back up.
No need to mess with the slave/master issue as long as you use the external hard drive as a "back up".
