Cops told to turn off their body cameras during protest !

I don't think all the good ideas in the world will change much within Police Departments unless you have some way to enforce it.

I'd suggest the only way is to build a review board that looks at all police misconduct or use of force issues which come up, and are 50% formed by citizens chosen by random rotation. Use the Jury pool system to choose from, and remove about 75% of the 'excuses'. Cities could afford to pay the time on a market hourly rate, too...but that may be asking for the moon. lol.....

Still, a review board with more than merely an opinion or advisory role on firing or disciplinary action against officers at all ranks would change the tune of cops where it was done, I'd think. Fairly quickly too... I know some places have Citizen involved systems now, but I don't believe any have the random rotation like that, to insure regular people sit in review of police action....and yet, not long enough to get cynical about it all.

See them turn off cameras and then try and justify the gaps in all officer records for the period later, to that sort of review.
