This is one to notice. The wet ones are carried through Walmart/Sams Club and go under the name "Nutek's Simply Right baby wipes". The product names also include Cuties, Diapers.com, Femtex, Fred's, Kidgets, Member's Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smiles, Tender Touch and Well Beginnings.
Here is the story behind the concern, and it IS a limited group that needs to be worried, but for that group? It's not a nice little bug. It's downright nasty.

Now there are viruses ...and there are viruses. Then, off to the side, and not often getting all the same sexy press coverage...is bacteria. (The Bubonic Plague, for instance, is a bacterial infection. Not a virus). This bug isn't near that bad, of course...but generally because it's a specific group it impacts.

Nope...this certainly isn't a killer like Ebola or other bugs we've been hearing about just recently. It's just one that will make a current lung infection worse, and someone sensitive to it, develop a new serious one they may not have had before.
I think the irony has to be that you'd be exposed to it by using something intended to clean up with and make things safe. I guess these aren't anti-bacterial versions. At least, sheesh? I'd sure hope they aren't marketed to be. In Fail rankings, that would just add the bounce to break the curve outright.

According to Lopez's complaint, Sam's Club, which is owned by Wal-Mart, issued a warning on Oct. 10 that some of Nutek's Simply Right baby wipes, sold from June 30, could be contaminated with B. cepacia bacteria.
Sam's Club said the bacteria poses little medical risk to healthy people, but could affect people with weakened immune systems or chronic lung disease, particularly cystic fibrosis.

Nutek has initiated a nationwide product recall of baby wipes, according to an Oct. 25 company statement distributed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Burkholderia cepacia: (B. cepacia, for short.) A group of bacteria found in soil and water that are often resistant to common antibiotics. B. cepacia poses little medical risk to healthy people. However, people who have certain health problems such as a weakened immune systems or chronic lung disease, particularly cystic fibrosis (CF), are more susceptible to infection with it. Transmission of B. cepacia has been reported from contaminated solutions and medical devices as well as contaminated over-the-counter nasal spray and contaminated mouthwash.
