A stereotype, or is this how women think?

This is from the Jeff Foxworthy "We've Been Thinking" tour which hit Minneapolis in 2016. I didn't see it (It's an hour away and ticket prices are a bit high for me.)

I've had similar experiences, so I wonder if it's a feminine trait. If it is, why does it exist? Why the constant push for more and more information? Is it a fear of not knowing something concerning an individual? I'm just guessing, any help, insight, or comments appreciated.
