Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone who celebrates has a wonderful day and that everyone who doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving today still has as enjoyable a day as possible. I hope everyone has wonderful food and a very nice time spent with family and/or friends.
We don't have a turkey smiley, so a bacon one will work instead.
This year I am definitely thankful for a great medical team at the hospital and a doctor who figured out what was wrong with me and fixed me (more or less - as much as I'm fixable) as well as all of the family and friends who helped and supported me. The encouragement and love was very much one of the primary things that kept me going and means so much more than words do justice to describe. Those are the things that I am most thankful for - though definitely not all that I'm thankful for - this Thanksgiving.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving day! My biggest kid will be here soon, and she will be cooking the turkey, green bean casserole, potatoes, gravy- all the 'heavy' stuff. First time in adulthood I haven't done the whole show solo- how blessed is that?!
The kidlet is going to make a chip dip she invented...the recipe is 'secret', but I know it includes peanut butter and frosting. She is super-excited about everybody trying it....might have to get the video camera out. Last year the video was Papa taking a dare and doing a faceplant in his pumpkin pie. ( I never know what to expect when family gathers, but I know it will be shocking, probably a bit gross and mostly amusing-in a twisted way.)
Happy Thanksgiving, all! We don't normally do anything, but we bought a smoked ham for this year & Spyder grilled a few portions of it. We also had corn, green beans, gravy & mashed potatoes, and sweet rolls, we finished up dinner a little while ago. The stuffing never got made, oh well. There's a lemon meringue pie waiting to be demolished, but even the pint-sized bottomless pits are full for now (a Christmas miracle on Thanksgiving!!) We, uh, had a chocolate creme pie also. Keyword being had. That didn't live through yesterday evening

It sounds like some awesome meals that you guys had. I hope that your day was wonderful. We had a really nice time today and the food was just as good as always. Russ and my mother-in-law cooked and both of them are pretty fantastic in the kitchen. It was just nice all around today from the food to the time we were able to spend with the family.
