I was given this list YEARS ago, back when I was in high school and had been broken up with and was feeling particularly heartbroken about it. In the years since, I've passed it on to others and just tweaked the wording a bit as needed. My sister just left her boyfriend and was feeling bad about it, so I pulled the list out again and made a copy for her.
1. No painful breakups.
2. No putting up with his friends...
3. ...or ego.
4. You can spend more time with your family.
5. Learn from watching your friends with their boyfriends.
6. More time to "find yourself".
7. You're free to look at other guys.
8. You can spend time with your friends and not feel guilty about not spending time with him.
9. No having to look into his eyes and say "who could possibly want Brad Pitt when they could have you?"
10. You are FREE!
