HEADS UP MY FELLOW HERNANDOS! I have noticed that earlier this summer at my camp when grilling! I noticed tiny "needles" on my grill right before placing the steaks on there...there were only 3 at that time and when I realized where it came from, I checked my brush and I could pull the bristles out with my fingers using very little force. I threw it out immediately and bought a new one but apparently this problem is more common than I thought!
The issue of
barbecue brush bristles has become so widespread that it came up at this year's
meeting of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology. During a discussion on
ingested foreign objects that are difficult to remove, Dempsey said several
ear, nose and throat surgeons spoke about their challenging surgeries.
