Hmm.. It seems it's that time of year again. Perish the thought we have silly thoughts of happy times and Christmas, just around the corner... (Anyone recall what it feels like to have the Christmas spirit, by the way??). Nope.. Santa's sleigh is replaced with Ghosthawk and Little Bird Helicopters buzzing downtown US cities... Err... huh?
If you think you've spotted low-flying black helicopters around Downtown Dallas in recent days, you likely have.
Twitter users reported seeing blacked-out helicopters flying in low, close formations with no lights.
..and why for so would they need to do this? Haven't they gotten enough live fire practice to last a generation or so, without making all new and precedent setting forays into major U.S. cities for military actions?
The Morning News learned the training was necessary so that the they could get a feel for "realistic urban sites," according to the Dallas Police Department.
I guess that would be a 'No', if anyone asked them. Oh...how I long for the days when people just complained about those remote training bases the military made so much noise at. Now we mix images of Seasons Greetings with enraged rioters in Missouri and thoughts of Santa with aerial combat teams descending on U.S. cities.
You know the sad part? This has become so normal now, a good % of the people to see sentiments like this, won't even understand why its such a big deal to start with. (sigh)
Merry Christmas Uncle Sam....You've become a real nasty old coot.
