BREAKING: Ground Around Los Angeles Moving Sideways!

After so many years of serious drought, heavy rain is going to bring some spectacular ground movement, I'm afraid. You can also factor in that Santa Clarita sits on a major fault, and maybe add in the factor of fracking waste water injection wells that are around the area- which scientists now say increases the chance of eathquakes 10 fold.

As riddled with faults as California is, the practice of fracking and waste water injection wells doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The effects of ground disturbance aren't instantanious, and in this case I wonder if gourging the earth with heavy rains will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

I did a search to see if it is still continuing to move at all. You would think that even an increased rate would show up somewhere or something would be said about it stopping. Nothing seems to be out there either way. Land is continuously moving I suppose. Things go up and down and sideways a bit. I am not going to assume it has stopped moving or it has increased. I guess we will just have to wait until something comes up. I suppose it is not big news unless it moves a lot at one time.

If there is still an increased amount of movement you would think it would be recorded somewhere. Maybe at a geological site or something. I am not used to looking at those, someone else may be used to reading that stuff and know how to interpret it.
