It's bad enough that the city government of Flint Michigan allowed lead laced water to be used for a year without informing residents, but if the citizens don't want to pay for poisoned water, they face stiff penalties. They poisoned the water supply, but the citizens are the criminals.

There is already evidence that the city knew what would happen when they switched water supplies to save money, but the problem isn't just in Flint, the cards are stacked against safe water in every city. Most every city in the U.S. has a tainted water supply and no one will even admit it.

So, if you can't safely use the water in Flint and refuse to pay your water bill in protest, you are the criminal that is endangering your own kids! How can anyone justify an idea like that? It seems that it's OK for the government to purposely poison it's citizens and lie about it but if you don't use the water and refuse to pay for it you are endangering your children. What?
What the hell is going on in this country? There is no justice for the people, there is no truth, no common sense, no way to escape the insanity of the government's greedy control over the people (or the people in other countries for that matter). The revolution has to begin and we need to do it by not paying any bills or taxes and by taking what money we have away from the system. If it's all about greed and money, take it away from the greedy corrupt bastards. Let's see them run their corrupt government without the support of our money and resources. We all need to go on a sit down strike, they won't have the money to take us all to jail if they run out of money after a few days. Disobey the unjust and corrupt government that thinks that it is above the laws, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Flint Residents Told That Their Children Could Be Taken Away If They Don’t Pay For City’s Poison Water
As the water crisis in Flint deepens, it is becoming apparent that the effects of the lead-infested water are not just a health hazard, but the situation has the potential of ruining many more lives outside of the poison issue. There is no denying that the water in Flint is undrinkable and that it is contaminated with lead and other substances, and it is clear that the government of Flint is responsible for the problem.
However, the city’s government continues to charge people for the poison water and then threatening to foreclose their home or take their children if they refuse to pay. Michigan law states that parents are neglectful if they do not have running water in their home, and if they chose not to pay for water they can’t drink anyway, then they could be guilty of child endangerment. Activists in Flint say that some residents have already received similar threats from the government if they refuse to pay their bills.

US authorities distorting tests to downplay lead content of water
Water authorities across the US are systematically distorting water tests to downplay the amount of lead in samples, risking a dangerous spread of the toxic water crisis that has gripped Flint, documents seen by the Guardian show.
The controversial approach to water testing is so widespread that it occurs in “every major US city east of the Mississippi” according to an anonymous source with extensive knowledge of the lead and copper regulations. “By word of mouth, this has become the thing to do in the water industry. The logical conclusion is that millions of people’s drinking water is potentially unsafe,” he said.
