Boston bans toy guns from city streets

I don't know what to think about the way things are going, Rickster. When this first happened I wondered why a 12 year old kid would be running around in a city parkbrandishing a fairly real-looking weapon.

By the time my kids were that age, they had the ability to reason whether or not something like that was a good idea or not.

All of my kids were allowed to play with toy guns, and I made sure they were not realistic enough to be mistaken for a real gun. They had to 'play' with it as if it WAS real, though; no pointing AT people, only targets, and it was an in your yard only toy.

Kids running around in public places brandishing a realistic firearm- espicially one of this kids ethnicity- seems like a really bad idea.

The town ordinance won't solve a thing, though; you can't fix stupid.

There is a segment of society that has created a climate of fear when it comes to firearms. From toys to finger pointing and over reacting they achieved the desire to demonize a inanimate object. It is the only item in our society that is blamed for killing someone. If you explode a bomb it's your fault as a bomber. If you are drunk and crash your car it's your fault for drinking. But when a person is killed by a firearm, it is the firearm that needs to go not the person. Pretzel logic at it's best.

It would be curious if behind the scenes as the try to disarm citizens they weren't arming themselves to the teeth. For me there is clearly something sinister going on here. Why do you need to arm the EPA with 75 million dollars worth of equipment?

Why is there Law Enforcement up the WHAZOO from FBI to local LEO's that we need to arm the EPA? None of this including the militarization of local law enforcement by Obama makes me comfortable as a US citizen. They aren't hiding a thing either as they suspend children from school for poptarts and finger pointing in the shape of guns while this administration supplies tanks, APC's, machine guns, drones, and weaponized helicopters to the police.

IMO they are not only inciting a race war they are preparing for it, and it will only be the citizens that pay the price because your assesment of being unable to fix stupid will be on display sometime in the near future.

Always take care of family first, secondly we have to support the 2nd amendment and vote for those candidates that don't perpetuate current craziness we experience everyday. Do our best so our grandkids grow up in a society as close to the one we had as we can, I had a great childhood. As always doing the best we can, no one can ask anymore. I am trying not to hear the words "Grandpa how did you let this happen?". Take care of those grand kids they are America's future. Hopefull they will have something to work with from the deeds of this current lot of dastardly politicians.
