This is such a beautiful image, I just had to shar it! This is a rentcular cloud, and according to WIKI:Lenticular clouds (Altocumulus lenticularis) are stationary lens-shaped clouds that form in the troposphere'.
It seems that clouds considered a 'rare phenomenon' are becoming mech more frequent....or maybe it's just the ability of the internet to share things only seen by a few lucky souls?
I've seen a rainbow cloud twice now, and what a treat it was!
