Number of Sanctuaries and Criminal Releases Still Growing

In my state Virginia, I wondered why there was a concentration of illegals in the Richmond area and never knew why. Now with this study and the US map of Sanctuary Cities it's easy to see why.
This is one of those times when I can't even figure out what the underlying reason for this is. I can;t even make a conspiracy theory out of it, it's just so criminal. It amazes me we have ongoing discussions by democrats for yet even more gun control when this is just another reason your 2nd amendment is so important. When a state, city or Federal government allows this to happen, who in their right mind would want to lose the firearms for protection, when they release 1000 a month.

"The number of jurisdictions that are obstructing immigration enforcement has grown to roughly 340, according to the Department of Homeland Security.1 This has resulted in the release by local authorities of approximately 1,000 criminal aliens per month."
