Whoa!!!!! The things a person won't do just to get a good adrenaline rush! :open_mouth:
Adrenaline is a naturally occurring hormone in the body, which is also known as epinephrine. This hormone is released during exciting, dangerous, or threatening situations. It gives the person a feeling of being "high", or gives a person "super-human" strength when needed.
Look at what these people do for their dose of adrenaline! Would you do any of these?
I used to ride and race dirt bikes in the California desert when I was a young man. rode at some speeds others would think was dangerously crazy. But I have always thought that old saying is true. The closer we live to death the more we appreciate and enjoy life. I now only ride on the street and fire roads, but have 2 bikes one on and off road and the other like an easy chair. What a joy it is to ride and cow trail along in Virginia's finest forest and shaded streets. One more year I will be 60 and maybe time to sell the bikes.... NOT!
Thanks for the pics LJ they reminded me of some good times in my life. One was a crazy spelunking trip in the Nevada desert 500 ft down into the Montgomery-Shoshone Mine. I will have some great stories for my grand kids if my son ever gets off of his duff sand gets married.

If you have a headache, do what it says on the aspirin bottle: Take two, and KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
Oh wow! I don't know if any of you have ever had a panic attack before, but if you have you likely know the feeling you get right before one starts. It is a physical tightening in your chest sort of (or, at least for me it is) and I got that feeling just looking at the pictures and imagining trying any of the things being done in those pictures. There just isn't enough money on this earth that could convince me that doing any of those was a good idea.
riding a a motorcycle in a retirement community is preferable to stepping on a sewing needle in a woman's quilting studio. The dance wouldn't be very happy.

Rickster, I only wish I could still ride a bike (motorized or not)! Riding bikes, fishing, and hiking were our favorite things to do when we were younger. I could no more do any of the things in Mystic's pictures than I could grow a pair of wings and fly...LOL
pffft, turning 60 is NOT a reason to sell a bike. It's a reason to ride!
You're either part of the solution or part of the problem. There is no middle ground.

I feel the same but comes with 60 is the uncooperative body that presents lack of balance, quick reflexes, and vanishing eyesight. All of which are not good for riding. But the smile it brings is worth the effort, an the desire to be careful.
