Obumma calls drs without borders to apologise

This sounds like it may have been a tragic error of judgement and outright accident from the American side.

if anyone needs to be apologizing ..at least as I understand how this all played out at this stage? It would be the ignorant locals we trust with guns around us, and actually take radio communciation from as if it were helpful or productive.

Perhaps dropping American weapons on targets called by a force we *KNOW* to be mixed for loyalty and infiltrated so badly, you could call a council or summit without even leaving the damn base...is a BAD idea.

Just maybe..instead of apologizing, as if we actually DID something wrong, as opposed to being a part of tragic circumstances here? Perhaps we ought to crap or get clear from the pot. Put OUR F.A.C.'s out there to call strikes ..or call Air Support unavailable until or unless Americans ARE eyeball to targets for confirmed requests to support?


I've read accounts of this nonsense in Vietnam too. Villages that were leveled to the last child...because our fire base took support orders from ARVN traitors out settling scores ..or to put it how they likely saw it ..District Chiefs and Regional South Viet Commanders pursuing the war in...their own 'very unique way'.

Really... We never...ever..ever..learn. We just keep doing the same stupid things, in the same general circumstances, and somehow expecting a new person watching to force a different end result. This isn't insanity, either. Insanity has a similar definition, but even insanity has SOME crazy logic to it.
