Fox 'News' or Ad Pimps carrying news to fill space??

I have to ask this, because it has come to a point where Fox hasn't merely matched...they have SURPASSED the mercenary and profit chasing nature of other news organizations who have fallen and failed in Fox's wake.
While loading the story and sharing what I found at Fox about the Hospital strike in Afghanistan, I had that tab lock up twice. Locked up, meaning I couldn't click or interact with anything on the Fox page, while scrolling the page was slow enough to simulate an outright browser crash. Every OTHER tab worked fine. Fox simply pushed it a hair short of the crash point.
Then..I looked up at my Browser status bar to find my Ad Block Plus display indicating FIFTY FIVE blocked ads. FIFTY FIVE! ! !
This was certainly not on their front page. This wasn't on a packed variety page. This was a single source story page, dead ending to this specific story. What would normally have some ads on the sides and elsewhere as filler and revenue to pack a page ...but 55 ads blocked (and ABP doesn't always report EVERY number for blocked attempts).
I'm sharing this as much as a real WARNING regarding the seemingly predatory and ..yes..given the behavior I just observed in browser reaction? DANGEROUS levels of pimping ads. When browser function is significantly reduced as a result of the ads presence? I term that dangerous ..because it is interfering with core function of your own software, on your own machine.
Hence .. be warned folks! Fox News may have once been about fair and balanced (...or maybe not)....but it now seems 100% about cash and profit, with damn little balance given to that OTHER thing they also try and do. You know..That news part which supports the ad business.
