Just for the fun of playing with you guys and gals...a non participating entry:
D & D
For the last ten years, Dave and Diana had come to this little corner of paradise called Coopers Rock State Forest, located in West Virginia, where they could forget about the everyday stresses and truly enjoy life, as only the wilderness was able to offer.
Although most campers felt free to put their tents up at Coopers Rock where they could find the needed electrical facilities on various camp grounds, Dave and Diana had always preferred going deeper into the woods, using the three miles trail that lead close to Mont Chateau State Park and its famous Cheat River. The area was shut down but it had plenty of space to do what they liked best, hiking, fishing, wildlife camping and perhaps, a little midnight nekkid dipping.
No cellular phones, no computers, to television sets; just the forest, the trails, the river and the multitude of animals that would come and go, on a regular basis.
Every year now, this little adventure had become a routine since it didn’t cost much and it provided all they needed to disengage from their daily responsibilities. Their parents would agree to take the little ones, year after year, so that they could renew their love for nature and their love for each other in what appeared to them as the most romantic way.
This year was undoubtedly important to them as this would unfortunately be the last year where they’d only be the two of them; as they had promised Jake that they’d start bringing him along as soon as he’d be a teen...and that was but a year away. So they really wanted to make this last adventure count.
They simply had no idea just how much it would turn out to be the adventure of their lifetimes.
