I'm not even going to link it, you all will see it, read about it, hear about it.
Apparently, some asshole went to a classroom and killed a bunch of kids. It's a community college about 3.5 hours south of me. Some are now saying that he went from student to student and asked their religion. If they said "Christian" he shot them in the head. If they said something else, he shot them in the leg.
Gun control, politicians, mental health will be the talk of the next few days and weeks.
My deepest sympathies to the kids and their families.
Yep ...... they already had obumma on radio talking about more gun control .....
It not a gun problem ..... its a CULTURE problem ..... over there violence is glorified and touted as way to solve problems ...... rather than through rational dialogue and compromise ...... until the culture changes the mass killing will continue ...... only thing ban guns will do is get em to use knives .... bats...... steel pipes...... automobiles ..... or whatever is at hand to kill each other with ......
Ahh well they too stupid to realise that and the same old idiotic calls for more gun control will continue .......
Meh ....... the stupid giving me headache ..... need drink .......
I'll simply say that I hope this gives the security team on my campus the impetus they need to have a weapons policy for firearms or other means of using lethal force. They don't have to necessarily carry them, and it may be just as well if they don't, given modern sensitivities among college age kids. However, on a campus like mine? There are only a half dozen buildings to be of concern to a shooting of this nature. Each could very easily have a reinforced and electronically secured locker, in a back storage closet or room off the beaten path, to change their unarmed status in a moment of need and without hunting for where to do it.
In many shootings, that is so debatable as a factor to make a difference, it's crass and almost low class to even bring up. In one like this sounds to be, and Virginia Tech, where a shooter takes time and has freedom of action to play sick little games about who they kill? What other primary factor is there to think about for initial response and quick action to neutralize a threat?

I have verified that he asked people their religion before shooting them. I will be very curious to hear whether he was a militant atheist -- I have been watching them for years on the Internet and the hatred that some of them breed towards Christians is hard to believe. If that's the case (and it may turn out that he was Muslim, Jewish or even Christian,) I think that it is time to shine a light on this militant anti-theist mentality that breeds nothing but hate.

I watched the speech during the evening news, and, while I disagree with the President on pretty much everything, I do agree with him when he says that something is wrong when this sort of thing has become "routine."
We don't know enough about the circumstances of this morning's tragedy to say much, apart from "yes, this has to stop." How it stops, and when, that's where all the partisan bickering comes in and, sadly, it will not stop.

Exactly ........ I know that hell over here on blackmarket can get nearly any weapon want if got the money for it ..... or in some places talk to right people and one the local gunsmiths ( not their dayjob ) will make you one thats indistinguisable from factory original - on m16s they even put the property u.s government stamp ...... and you know that however the idiot politicians and terminally braindead liberals dont comprehend that ........
Even with the blackmarket for firearms here in asia we dont get alot of gun violence and killing sprees like they do over there ....... it definetly more a cultural thing
( oh and they do turn out m4s that indistinguishable from the originals as well from the underground gunsmiths it set ya back about 3000 u.s )
This is a symptom of liberalism. When hurt feelings and being offended can create retaliation scenarios. We've become a society of thin-skinned pussies.

Possibly.
But, as I said, we are lacking sufficient information as of now to decide what the shooter's motivation, mental state or positions were. Speculation is not helpful.

I don't give a rat's ass about what our POS POTUS had to say about this. The situation is barely hours old and he starts bumping his gums about it. There really isn't any info gleaned yet and there is Mr. Dumb-Ass talking like he actually knows something about this case on National TV.
Here's the thing. Our shitbird POTUS is using this incident to cover his loss of face over the Putin/Syrian issue. I bet dollars to donuts, that this will be the story of the day until everyone has forgotten how close that idiot narcissist in the White House almost got us involved in WW3.
stay tuned folks! He's sure to frak up again soon.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

I don't know, that seems like a bit of a leap.
There is no denying that there have been a lot of mass shootings in 2015 (Sample Source) I am not a believer in MKUltra and its ilk, though I'm open to the claims that various medications might be behind it.
The question becomes "how do we deal with this?" Since it appears that our new reality is that you might be killed for going to the movies, showing up for class, or the general "being in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Death is final. These eleven dead people deserve, at least, that we think about what happened that resulted in their passing.
