Something Soooo Strange Going on in Our Skies!! WTH???!!!

Or maybe Sky is correct.

@snarky412, The 13th Warrior just so happens to be among the favorite movies of all time for ALL of the women in my family! We have all watched it so many times any of us could probably quote every line from the movie word for word. including the grandbaby! lol!

Anytime something seems to be too much, whether mentally or physically, my favorite short but sweet line from the movie comes to mind- "Grow stronger!"  Great advice, and it has never failed me!

I hear what Sky is saying about perspective, and sure..after about 1,000 of these at another site, over the years? That is the first thing I think of. Perspective and tricks of light or angles.

What bothers me in this video (and its odd to be on the OTHER side for a change) is that the object is clearly in the foreground to the cloud stack, and below its level. It does look like a drop, and not a horizontal crossing to make pronounced contrails. Interesting...and perhaps that is something entirely normal to be a trick of things. It looks like a vertical descent in a controlled way for speed (if nothing else anyway), with what we might expect to see...and I recall at times, as the Shuttle would come over a state I happened to be in during reentry. I always loved being in the right place and time to see that (and glad I missed one, obviously..), which is what this reminded me of, with a MUCH sharper descent.


It probably doesn't help that I also know that part of Arizona to have been across it several times. It's a beautiful and prestine area in some ways, with some of the most scenic (and outright dangerous) roadway this side of Wolf Creek Pass. You don't get much more isolated, outside of central Nevada, in the American Southwest...than right about where this was said to be filmed. Any road map with color shading for land use type (forest vs. white for plain open land/desert) will also show that despite being close to I-40 on paper, that area of Arizona is a long long way from anything.

Odd...a perfectly natural thing to look so odd would choose that particular spot to happen. Hmmm....?
