The general and overall hate being directed at Trump is getting to be something to see. This latest article from CNN shows how exciting this may well become for the 2016 General Election if a relative outsider and someone quite disliked by 'the insiders' makes it through the major trials to stand to the end.
Hair Force One? Okay, that is cute... I gotta remember that one. If Trump wins, that'll surely make for endless political cartoons, too. His...hair challenges....are a bit less than subtle. Perhaps he can direct the National Institutes for Health to make natural hair restoration a national priority? They've been doing odder things, in recent years...to be sure.
Anyway, that is all kinda funny, but it isn't meant 'kinda funny'. That is meant quite mean spirited, actually...as the rest of the article shows.
Okay....for the slow witted or otherwise party brainwashed in the audience....repeat very slowly after me..
A-merica is a split nation. Split. as in, halfsies. As in....shooting type conflict will erupt before that is "engineered" into being altered through B.S. tricks. What do I mean? Oh.... Just this...
That literally was the Electoral map for the outcome in the 1984 election between Ronnie 'get the evil empire!' Ray-Gun and the liberal dream in Walter Mondale.... Ancient history, tho huh? I mean, even this old fart was just a kid with passing interest, for how long ago that was...huh?
So lets look more recently...
That was the PER-COUNTY, or county-level voting for the 2012 General Election. You may notice what has happened. The population centers have been focused on very heavily to impact the electoral system. Even in Missouri? Rural voters don't see much for candidates, while South Missouri is probably considered a waste of fuel to even fly over for most. St Louis and Kansas City, as two cities, can decide the whole state for state level counting, and assigning those representative electoral votes.
(I happen to support the system, too, by the way. Even with how its being used right now for immigration patterns created by forceful relocation of incoming people, there is no better system, and no electoral college would just mean even our two big cities wouldn't get 5 minutes care or time from Presidentials....but I digress.)
The point is? THAT is a SPLIT nation. In EVERY sense. Numbers favor blue for density of people. Numbers favor red for sheer area covered, in adding up damn near 50%/50%, almost like it was planned that way (cue spooky music).
So back to that blind hatred building.........
(laugh) yeah... Like the Senate Majority Leader Reid just making crap up out of whole cloth for 'john/jane doe' stories of 'constituents' who never even existed..whenever a tall tale fit the moment? Like Obama outright making crap up as he goes along, and not even keeping it 100% straight all the time?? lol... I love how it's a major deal if Trump has an overdeveloped ego, but it's damn near admired as a character trait in others...

That isn't Debbie at the DNC or Hillary's goons babbling nonsense. No... That would't be worth comment, as the dirty mud throwing will likely be worse than ever and setting whole new records, however the early phases play out.
This is Bobby Jindal!
Now, I? For one? I'm coming to warm up to and support Trump more and more for how much the career politicians on BOTH sides openly despise him. If Trump shines for nothing else to say he has in common with me as a voter? It is the dislike of career politicians...and its comforting to see how MUCH they cannot stand him. I'd worry more if they COULD feel close. It is why Rand Paul won't get my vote for Dog Catcher, by the way. He's another John Boehner. RINO to the core, and talking the talk while walking the other way.
BTW... Reagan was NOT a "great" President. I was shocked to learn this, in Political Science, as Reagan was about 10 feet tall to a kid of the 1980's. At least, an American one. However, as these things go and are measured for the test of history? Reagan was an average President for performance. It all plays out right too, when you see the measures used, which make sense for how they are used, as a side note.
Reagan had one thing though, and Trump *DOES* have every right to claim the same, because he's the same character in this way. Reagan DEMANDED and he GOT respect. In a room, you can look back at the vids from today, he got respect from just about everyone present, in his various appearances or meetings shown in footage. Obama, sometimes, seems barely tolerated or just shy of rolling eyes from his OWN people...and Bush's people looked almost demented at times for how I think they got off on war a wee more than anyone in a leadership position EVER should.
Anyway.. Trump WOULD demand that same respect as a natural thing a man just carries, IMO..and what our nation desperately needs back in its executive leader.
Appearances DO matter and projection of will through influence DOES depend almost entirely on respect from the top down. Something we have almost none of, right now.........at least in my view.
President Trump today announced that the first season of "The Apprentice: White House Edition" will air on CBS this fall. Contestants, including Gary Busey, Ted Cruz and Kanye West, will vie for Cabinet positions. The announcement came as the newly renamed "Hair Force One" touched down in South Dakota for the unveiling of President Trump's face on Mount Rushmore. Meanwhile, first lady Melania had reason to celebrate as her White House-branded perfume, Trump, by Trump, hit Macy's shelves ...

The problem with Donald Trump is that he will never be president. His nomination as the Republican candidate would gift the White House to Hillary Clinton. He would self-destruct in a general election. In fact, he may be Clinton's only hope. And even if he were somehow to win, we have no idea how he would govern.

Last week, I said on national television that Donald Trump is a shallow, unserious, substance-free, narcissistic egomaniac.
It's pointless arguing policy with someone not intellectually curious enough to care and who makes it up on the fly. According to him, his plans will be "fabulous" and "something terrific."

Like a kid in a superhero costume, Trump compares himself to Ronald Reagan, wearing the Gipper's slogan on his forehead as if he just thought of it. But whereas Reagan was a terrible entertainer and a great statesman, Trump is a great entertainer who would be a terrible statesman.
Sane conservatives need to stop enabling him. They need to stop praising him, stop being afraid of him and stop treating him rationally.
