I've made my move a week ago and couldn't be happier! Bring on the End-Times 28 Sept. I at least made it to where I always wanted to live. Granted, it is my sisters place, but I have always been in love with this property and was fortunate to have a sister marry a great guy who bought this place. Unfortunately he passed away and now she does need a hand keeping up with the place.
She is quite artistic in pretty much everything, landscaping included. This property will keep me busy till the end of my time. It has been compared to a resort, there is that much landscaping to do. (Lotsa acreage as well)
Couldn't be happier as I've said.
The following is what I see when I wake up and it is daylight. And of course, the two furry buddies are my new alarm clocks who wake me before sunrise.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
Ok, that little pond there? Yeah, I want that! I bet that's an idyllic scene in winter!
I'm glad you made it there ok, and even happier that you're on Cloud 9. It's been a year since we moved to MI from FL, and we're all incredibly happy up here. Even the kids can't get past how awesome the change of seasons is, the terrain (even if it is just hills 900 ft above sea level to people here, ain't no pancake flat to us!) The trees & animals, such a huge variety for them -- for all of us -- to look at & watch. Nothing is better for the soul than being somewhere you really feel at home at
It is a great place. I have a Bald Eagle living atop the bluff, Saw some Bear tracks the other day (which means I REALLY have to watch over the Pups), plenty of Deer, Turkey and Fowl to hunt and the streams and lakes are clean to fish.
Happiness doesn't say enough...not even ecstatic. Gonna have to come up with a new word I think.

Well, Doug; it looks like you've found your little piece of heaven! I am so happy for you, Trooper, Bruce Wayne and your sister! Looks like you're going to be enjoying your days a lot! When you get settled we'll all come by for a BBQ!

I think the word you're looking for is "Bitchin" proper for my age group anyway..
If you have bears consider .44 mag .357 pisses them off.

Y'all are more than welcome, however, the house couldn't handle y'all sleeping here, much less using the Loo on a daily basis. But there is a place down the road a bit that rents log Cabins. And it should be scheduled around the Jun-Aug time frame as that is when the nearby Spiritualist camp is open.
(I can see Mystic going into spasms now! )

Already have a .44 Mag Rossi Lever Action, and going to buy a Red Hawk come payday. Commonality with calibers makes sense after all.

I have had this same combo and got rid of the Red Hawk. At that time they didn't have grips that would keep it from twisting in my hand and hurting my wrist. I am of reasonably strong but the rounded butt with steep angle was a non worker for me. A S&W is the way to go, with the Hogue rubber grips I can shoot that all day no worries. If you haven't shot one yet see if you can test fire one somewhere first. I know the smith is more money but I think a much better shooter. Just my experience anyway.
