According to the field of color study, your favorite color reveals your personality. It’s part of what's called color psychology.
Figuring out your personality color is extremely easy. The quiz to get your results is simply this: if you had to pick one favorite color what it would be? Don’t think about it in terms of design or what you like to wear, but without overthinking it, pick the color that appeals to you most and write down the first one (or few) that comes to mind. Blue is the top choice for 35% of Americans, followed by green (16%), purple (10%) and red (9%).
Faber Birren, studier and practitioner of the color industry, said, “It is possible to make fairly accurate judgments about the meaning of color preferences and their revelations of personality traits.”
It seems pretty logical, doesn’t it? Color has long been used to create feelings of coziness or spaciousness. However, how people are affected by different color stimuli varies from person to person. However, color psychology has yet to be a well-studied subject. Very little research has been done and most information you find on this subject has anecdotal evidence, if any. Even so, a lot of the evidence that has been unearthed is very compelling.

I am in the lower percentage of favorite colors. I can't choose which I like the best, red or purple.
Interestingly enough, both personality descriptions seem to "fit" me, so I guess I'm a "mixed breed".
Read your personality description here:
Pink
Generally, there are two types of people favor pink: the person who has led a very sheltered life and the person who has grown and seeks to regain the innocence of childhood. In pink there is affection, delicacy and an inner conviction, often naive, that life should be a gentle affair devoid of trials and tribulations. Additionally, you have a deep need to be accepted and loved unconditionally. Younger people who like pink sometimes hold to the illusion that life should be constantly romantic and generous.
Red
Red personality color suggests strong will, ambition and energy. This is the color of extroversion, of a person with desire, appetite, a will to live life fully. You are somewhat aggressive, impulsive, perhaps athletic, surely quick to release your feelings and emotions. You have many ups and downs in your feelings.
To you, life is meant to be happy, and when it isn’t, you are confused and upset. You hate monotony, are quick to judge people, quick to form opinions and boldly express them.
Orange
With orange as your favorite color, you are warm, optimistic, extroverted and often flamboyant. You are friendly, good natured and a generally agreeable person.
