Ohhhh..NO! We got sandbagged so bad by this 'my friend' uttering moron, the nation voted in a no body from Illinois with no record of anything. I can't even imagine what could be elected running against this old windbag a second time.
Washington (CNN) -- Sen. John McCain went on Comedy Central's "Colbert Report" Monday night with the intention of talking about his new book, "13 Soldiers," but he left with an endorsement for another presidential bid.
After McCain said that Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel was never "the right man" for the job, Colbert asked him whether he was on the show to announce his ambitions for the post.
"Actually I was thinking about running for president again," McCain joked. "What do you think?"
Okay, the Colbert Report. A comedy/satire show. Oh, John Boy..please...consider it comedy. The nation can't survive another McCain run. We could end up with Howdy Doody as President and people would think they got the better end of the deal over him.
We have 7 trillion people in America, (only 3 thousand if you count legal residents) and this is the best we can do for people running for the slot to represent America?
Well, in a weird sort of way? We could say it all ties back to Richard Nixon and he still haunts us today.
After all...When Nixon was told it was time to resign his office..who was in the room? George H.W. Bush. When it came time, before that, to investigate his impeachment? Who was among the very first to work the case as a serious legal matter? Hillary Clinton, within a small team of people. What was much of that over? Vietnam...and who does McCain have to thank for even being here as a former POW and not another MIA on the wall? Nixon.
So..Blame Nixon. He did it all! Yup...All evil goes back to Tricky Dick!
I'm afraid it may not be entirely joking, coming from him.
He had a very on again/off again campaign the last time too. Right into primaries, he was off/on with it. It screwed things up more, is all it did.
YES!!!
If McCain runs again, I DO have a shot at the US presidency in my nefarious scheme to take over the world! Only a McCain run could propel me into office.
DO IT! DO IT JOHN!! DOOOO IIIIITTTT!!!
YES!!!
I wouldn't call what McCain did last time a "campaign", neither on again nor off again - I just wouldn't call it a campaign at all.. I'd call it a "not-campaign", because he never actually campaigned - every thing he DID do ran entirely against what would be called a "campaign". I'm surprised, frankly, that he got any votes at all. Those votes HAD to be from die-hard "vote the party line" Republicans, period, and he only got them because he had an "R" beside his name.
