Well, I wish I could say this was unforeseen or something we haven't or shouldn't have been expecting. Its still kinda surreal to realize we're seeing this play out...but here we go.
Perhaps... Just, maybe? The United Kingdom may be seeing some writing on the wall....but then, they have a very serious domestic problem all their own with the semi-militant Islamic population within their own towns and cities. Will the UK kick that apple cart right off the hill to back Israel, if/when the United States hasn't got the leadership to do the job?
Somehow..I'm afraid, they won't. Time will tell though, and rumor has it? This bunny gets it wrong occasionally! Erm.. umm.. nvm.. must be feeling a bit off lately.. (grin)
Well... crap on a cracker. What do you say to that? 'Sorry, but the lights are on with no one home at the present time?'. 'Better luck next year'?

Ouch... That took a lot for BiBi to say, on many levels, I'd imagine. Some will likely even take it as weakness. I hope not.. I think it is desperation from a position over such overpowering strength, the man can't use it on the scale it needs to be at this stage without causing the very war they'd probably give half their nation's fortunes to avoid.

Love Israel, hate Israel or just don't give a hoot either way....but there are over 8 million people in that very small land. . . .
. . . and I'd say at least 99% of them don't deserve to be erased any more than the Arabs in the area do . . .

Now I know we have members right here at HH who have personal, and direct reasons behind their strong opinions. Ones which may conflict with my own. I'd like to think we can all agree the war this is about, and what the players here are all dancing around the reality of right now ....isn't something anyone over there deserves. No 'side'. No 'faction'. No Justification.
Just my two carrots while sharing the latest of what is happening out there right now.
Arriving in Downing Street for talks with Prime Minister David Cameron, Mr Netanyahu stated his belief that Israel and Britain can work together to “roll back the tide of militant Islam both in the Middle East and in Africa.”

The Middle East is disintegrating under the twin forces of militant Islam

He today repeated his recent declaration that he was "ready to resume direct negotiations with the Palestinians with no conditions whatsoever to entering negotiations ... immediately".

The Jewish population makes up 6,300,000 (74.9%); 1,746,000 (20.7%) are Arabs; and, those identified as "others" (non-Arab Christians, Baha'i, etc) make up 4.4% of the population (366,000 people). When the state was established, there were only 806,000 residents and the total population reached its first and second millions in 1949 and 1958 respectively.
The overall population grew by approximately 158,000 people since the Jewish New Year 2014 - a growth rate of 1.9%.
The Jewish population of Israel grew by 1.7% over the past year, and the Arab population grew by 2.2%
