Well Well Well, it looks like Area 51 is not happy with its current digs! It needs a wee more than it had and it is quite determined to take it!
Area 51, also known as Groom Dry Lake, Nevada is or has been the Nation's secret toy box and testing center since the CIA discovered the place since the 1950's.
Now that sure sounds like the kind of offer you cannot refuse.

I am thinking there isn't that much mystery to it. They said no, Uncle said yes...and a gremlin with a GS rank made sure 'accidents happen'? Still...these two weren't deterred and they still aren't!
The story goes on to say they will reject the latest deal, at least for now. Air Force (or..Air Farce..in this example?) are calling it a matter of national security. The family, meanwhile, note the site is a piece of their family heritage and history, as well as being their property i the legal sense.
The American Dream? Perhaps, not....at least when the United States Military decides your right to pursue happiness falls second to their need for what you own.
** In full disclosure, I generally support the U.S. Military at almost all levels. I do not, in any way, support the crop of wimps and 'Yes Sir' sycophants which now populate the rarefied air of the Pentagon offices and command centers. Warriors were kicked to the curb and what we have no isn't worth much outside making life miserable for our own citizens...apparently?

LAS VEGAS – The U.S. Air Force is giving an ultimatum to owners of a remote Nevada property that over time has been surrounded by a vast bombing range including the super-secret Area 51.
They're being told to take a $5.2 million "last best offer" for their property by Thursday -- or the government will seize it through condemnation.

The owners include descendants of a couple who lost their hardscrabble mining enterprise after the Air Force moved in in the 1940s. Nuclear tests then began in 1951, their mine mill mysteriously exploded in 1954 and they ran out of money to seek reparations from the government in 1959.
