Now THIS is a digital camera sensor!
Now I'll bet that unless you are a photo person, that means little to you. So a quick comparison is in order, I believe..... (hops off to get a few details)
A mere 18 Megapixel is what you'll very often see professional media and event photographers carrying 2 or 3 of to whatever shoot they are working. At that, you have resolutions beyond what will realistically be printed and just orders of magnitude above what will ever be used online, in most examples.
......back to that 250 megapixel!
So what the heck does 250 mean??? It means never having to use a zoom button, and I mean, pretty much...Ever.

Okay, I'd ask where I can get one, but they suggest they are pricing above what a mere mortal could buy on a mere peasants budget. Only special super snoop types....or those with some real serious photographic needs will likely see these any time soon.
Still, for those who do have one? You can do some pretty awesome things...and, oh, 5 frame per second is a VERY relative thing to suggest is limited or somehow bad.
If one looks around the net for "4K' city photos or tours, you're bound to find some ultra high resolution photos that are almost creepy in the ability to zoom into any spot, or window, as if you were focused on just that spot with a good telephoto setup.
The article indicates the photo this produces runs 30 times the resolution of your best 4k image.
Electronics company Canon has developed a 250 megapixel sensor for use in digital cameras.

DxO Labs, a French firm that rigorously analyzes camera image sensor performance, gave Canon's 50-megapixel, $3,700 EOS 5DS and $3,900 5DS R scores of 87 and 86, respectively. The numbers represent a hybrid score of how well the camera's image sensor performs when it comes to handling a wide dynamic range of bright and dark areas, capturing color richness and depth and avoiding noise problems in low-light conditions.Source

Canon said the sensor is sensitive enough to read lettering on the side of an aircraft 18km (11.1 miles) away.
