It takes some doing to set new records of bad. Particularly after 8 years of Bush and almost 8 years of Obama.....we still set new lows? (sigh) Sadly..yes. We do. The Partying President might do well to pay just a little attention to that nation he's supposed to care about the welfare of. ..ya know..if it isn't too much trouble for him between golf games.
Well, now there is change we can believe in...because it won't change by our belief or disbelief. It's doom for those connected to the markets...either way.
Fortunately, it is doom with a little 'd' and not a Capital D. Doom in the stronger sense is how the Chinese markets feel after numbers crowding on 50% for market value loss this summer. Things COULD be worse, then.

The Dow posted a roughly 6.4% decline in August, which marked the worst month in more than five years for the market gauge, which tracks the performance of 30 stocks. Comparing the month with other Augusts, the blue-chip index registered its worst August since 1998, based on data from Dow Jones.

Overall it was the sixth worst monthly performance for the Dow and the worst since May 2010, when the Dow dropped 7.9%, according to FactSet data.
