(yawn) Same place, same general issue, different victim and honestly, very different circumstances. #blacklivesmatter ..yes. They do. However, color doesn't bestow some added value. When you point a weapon at a cop? One of two things will happen, and in the long run, only ONE outcome is likely for ANY color. You'll kill the cop, or the cop will kill you.....and long term? There are 1,000 more to replace the fallen cop, and EACH will hunt the shooter down, if it takes a lifetime and the width of the world to do it. The bad guys have no such support or backup..so, I must say, how much life matters can become a self determined thing at times.
Kind of a 'Choose your own ending', as the old books some may recall. This one? Chose badly....and the community reaction strikes me as doubling down on dumb at this point.
This wasn't some kid with plans to go to community college, and maybe, possibly, worthy of the benefit of a doubt......and I'll admit, the more we saw of Brown in home movies, the less benefit that kid ever deserved to get anyway.
Even the FBI of today would call that a clue.

That also strikes me as restrained and deliberate shooting to dump a threat, not the 'oh mommy make it stop!' shooting that idiot cop in Fergie pulled with the brown kid. I've wondered how much that ass even had his eyes open for at times, for how out of control he seemed in actions. This one tho??
Well, what do these people want? Cops to stand for the first free shot before they return fire or avenge the death of the first cop to take a bullet?? If bad guy points a weapon, bad guy dies. What part of that lesson is SO hard to grasp?! It has pretty much always been that way, and no tidal wave of lefty reform will change THAT aspect of police and what they do.
If someone wants to live longer...don't shoot, or try to shoot. One won't GET SHOT, at least not near as easy.

St. Louis police say a black 18-year-old armed with a gun was shot and killed by two officers who were serving a search warrant at a home.
St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says two suspects fled from the home around noon Wednesday on the city’s north side before the 18-year-old turned and pointed a handgun at the officers, who shot him.

Dotson said four guns and crack cocaine were recovered at the scene.

One pointed a gun at police officers, the chief said.
It appears two officers fired a total of four shots – one fired one shot, the other fired three shots, Dotson said.
