Why does the media play into ISIS propaganda? ISIS isn't trying to conquer people or places. That WOULD make stories like this interesting and an outrage. However...they are simply TAKING, CLEARING and REFORMING areas to be their way. That means...this archaeologist was one of 10's of thousands to die at ISIS blades or bullets to date, before we even touch on the military and combat losses.

ISIS means to KILL EVERYTHING NOT LIKE THEM. No but...no foot note...no asterix. They take an area, exterminate what isn't ISIS about it, or fit for the standards of the new Caliphate, then they move on to take the next.

Kinda like the Borg in a way. Negotiation or seeking compassion is futile. Resistance? Well, that isn't futile. It is the only choice, if death isn't a happy thought.

The sooner the media stops glorifying single executions, admin a SEA of executions like this, the sooner the world can look at ISIS for what it is. A look at historic approaches and tactics to old world warfare ...and something the MODERN world needs to put down, not just isolate, as quickly as reasonably possible.
