What the hell, is what I have to ask myself on this story. I'm unusually blunt because this was unusually cold blooded and heartless.
First, get those frisbee feds back where Federal has meaning. As in, within the United States. We have a Military and its job is to go be the face and pointy end elsewhere. The two need not cross, nor should they ...and this is crossing back and forth so badly, its like a tennis match to throw up over.
I mean for the love of God...the family had to know this, right? In detail, no less.
Well, hot damn. It's too classified to even talk about what happened in a dozen bad outcomes overseas in a half dozen nations....but they can damn sure see to it these parents will never enjoy a clean memory of their daughter again.

Reading the rest of the article leaves little question or doubt the aspect of her brutalization is being played for sympathy impact across a war weary public, and damn me for being so cynical, but I've seen this rodeo one too many times in my lifetime to miss what I'm seeing.
It is pretty damned cold though, to torture a family with details we normally wouldn't even HAVE, and could EASILY EASILY have omitted from the family knowing....with NO GOOD reason to have told them. Inexcusable comes to mind, as just a starting point...and at what price comes propaganda?
